Episode 4 – A chat with Gareth Bright. Gareth Bright is a South African photographer based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. His work has been featured in various international media outlets as well as INGO publications, and he has a penchant for long-term projects, particularly those with a focus on environmental and humanitarian issues. Art, Bright has said, is “something made”, and photography a process of trying to understand what he sees around him, especially when travelling to unfamiliar places as he often does.

Episode 3 – A chat with Frédéric Lecloux. Frédéric Lecloux is an self-taught photographer, a workshop teacher at the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographies in Arles and at photo.circle in Kathmandu. He was born in 1972 in Brussels, Belgium and lives in France. Consciously or not, each of his series originates from the question of loss. On the routes of Nicolas Bouvier, in a profoundly mutating Nepal, in a reminiscence of Belgium or facing the enigma of parenthood, photography is no longer about telling the World as it is seen. Henceforth summonsed to relieve from the loss, photography becomes a poetic solution to inhabit the World, and an alibi to draw a universe that be more acceptable than the real one. His work is published by Le Bec en l’air in Marseilles and distributed by Vu’ agency in Paris. He is the author of, among other books, “Brumes à venir” (2012), “L’Usure du Monde” (2008), and “Katmandou 2058” (2003).

Episode 2 – A chat with Nepali photographer Prasiit Sthapit. Prasiit Sthapit (b. 1988) is a visual storyteller based in Kathmandu. He graduated from Manipal Institute of Communication, India with a Bachelors in Arts (Journalism and Communication) and was a recipient of the Dr. TMAPai Gold Medal for Best Outgoing Student 2010. That is when he decided journalism was not for him and started looking for other avenues to tell the stories he wanted the world to hear. He is currently associated Fuzz Factory Productions, a multimedia collective based in Kathmandu.

Episode 1 – Tuomo Manninen, photographer, comes back to Nepal after 20 years to exhibit his work. Tuomo Manninen’s group portraits have been exhibited in over 80 solo and group exhibitions around the world, including 49th Biennale di Venezia and Rencontres d’Arles photo festival. Three printed and two digital monographs have been published of the ‘Me/We’ series, along with over 20 catalogs.
