All my life, I’ve lived in a small village in Ibiza: It’s called Sant Jordi.
This village is located near the airport, and also near Ibiza city. But it isn’t the only advantage; the citizens of this village are lucky because we are next to some fabulous beaches like “Salines”, “Sa caleta” or “Platja d’en bossa”. My hometown is also known for its hippie market which takes place every saturday in the racecourse. This means that there are many tourism in summer. Furthermore, we are privileged to enjoy one of the most beautiful churches in the island.
My village used to be more rural, but few years ago have built many buildings like gyms, shopping center, housing… Although there are still some rural areas, it has become more urban.Anyway, the gastronomy hasn’t changed. You can enjoy our typical “flao” or “greixonera” in any bakery on my village. So, be sure to visit us!
