PODCAST: The Importance of Baseline Assessments for Triathletes
Baseline assessments are important in life regarding of what the next step of the process remains. Baseline assessments provide a foundation for a Coach to understand the foundation from which a person is beginning the process. Without a baseline assessment, it is difficult for a true plan or program of action to be developed and executed. Additionally, oftentimes, plans need altering and as a result, most Coaches will not only use the baseline assessment data but data gathered overtime to determine where a change is needed in the plan when an unforeseen situation arise.
Certified Tri Coach TK discuss the importance of baseline assessments and things that you should have done before engaging in a training plan for success in your next triathlon. Baseline assessments are key to life no matter what industry or field one is interested in.

PODCAST: Improving Run Cadence Through Swimming
Certified Coach TK discusses ways in which swimming can improve one’s run cadence. Athletes and Triathletes of all ages experience damage in one’s ligaments and joints and as a result, some are unable to continue their love for running. Instead of reducing or eliminating the love of running one has, an alternative is using swimming as an alternative.
Swimming has so many benefits that are unknown and under utilized, it does not benefit most. However, if an individual is experiencing difficulty from the pounding of the pavement, swimming is an excellent alternative.
Additionally, triathletes normally use swimming and running through one set of lens, that is for training purposes only. Forunately, swimming is an excellent way in which to increase one’s run cadence in the power through the use of specific drills.
