Edgar Delgado Merentes, secretario de Seguridad Ciudadana en Portuguesa lo informó durante una reunión conjunta con todos los organismos de seguridad anunciando que el Plan Nacional de Seguridad comienza desde el Templo Votivo de la Virgen de Coromoto en Guanare.
Anunció que el lanzamiento del dispositivo de seguridad estará a cargo de El ministro de Interior y Justicia, Néstor Reverol, quien anunciará la cantidad de efectivos desplegados a escala nacional.
Dijo que antes de este anuncio “se hará una misa en homenaje al Comandante Supremo de la Revolución Hugo Chávez Frías el día viernes 22 de marzo en horas de la mañana”.
En Portuguesa afirmó que el número de efectivos desplegados para el asueto de Semana Santa supera los 2400 funcionarios conformados de manera mixta por los policías de la entidad, Transito Terrestre, Guardia Nacional Bolivariana del destacamento 41 y destacamento 49.
