During Sherman’s 26 year career with Sparks PD, he gained valuable skills, knowledge, and experience. He worked as a dispatcher, an officer in the jail, in patrol, as a field training officer. After being transferred to detective, he worked property and persons crimes, including juvenile victimization, gang investigations, and undercover narcotics. While Sherman was assigned to the jail at Sparks Police Department, before it was rationalized, he learned many things about the care, custody, and control of criminal defendants. Then after graduating from Reno High School and the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice she was employed as a Deputy Sheriff with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 25 years.

In 1991, she set out on a decorated and devoted career with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, rising in the ranks of the department from deputy, to sergeant, to lieutenant, to captain. Ms. Howe served 20 of her 30 years in supervisory positions, overseeing a vast range of responsibilities including, but not limited too: hostage negotiation, district courts, officer recruitment, crime scene operations and training. She has managed a team of 350 law enforcement professionals, a 56 million dollar budget, the custody of more than 1,300 adult detainees, and oversaw the 20 million dollar jail expansion from breaking ground to ribbon cutting. https://www.howeforsheriff.com/

Yucca mountain is located on federal land adjacent to the Nevada Test Site in Nye County, Nevada, about 80 mi (130 km) northwest of the Las Vegas Valley. It is a controversial issue.

In 1988, Cobb took Robert Dean’s place as the Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director of the International Programs and Technology Affairs Directorate with responsibility for science & technology agreements, export policy, United Nations issues, and the environment. He became President and CEO of the Business Executives for National Security (BENS) in 1991, then left to become President/CEO of the Yosemite National Institutes (1995-2002). He returned to his home town of Reno, NV, where he heads up the Northern Nevada Network as well as the National Security Forum. Dr. Cobb received a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, an M.A. from Indiana University, and a B.A. from the University of Nevada. He is married to Suellen Small of Reno, NV. They have three children

Leonard A. Semas Len Semas was born in Taunton, Massachusetts, and grew up in Santa Clara, California, in a traditional family of the 1950s era, and is middle of five siblings. He was taught the virtues of hard work at an early age and was first exposed to the "publishing business" at the age of 10 as a newspaper delivery boy. Len attended public schools until college, graduating from Santa Clara University. He majored in biology and minored in chemistry and philosophy. Following graduation, Len volunteered for service in the U.S. Army and attended Engineer Officer Candidate School, receiving his commission as a Distinguished Graduate. He served 3 years from 1969-1972 and was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant. He returned to Santa Clara University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree, followed by a career in business. He has 40+ years of varied experience, including a stint with a large health care corporation, self-employment in the real estate field, and COO for a start-up technology company. Over the past 14 years, he has been involved in writing, publishing and speaking on politics, political philosophy, contemporary issues and current events. In addition, he teaches business writing and speaking at Western Nevada College. Semas has published and been the primary contributor to an online magazine, Sierra Sage, since 2002, and is the author/publisher of three books. His current book, Reading with Grandpa and Enzo: Learn the Most Important Words First, is a reading primer that encourages adult-child interaction and promotes traditional values to beginning readers. His previously published works include: • Reason, Justice and Common Sense (author/publisher) - 2nd edition pending • Bars of Nevada: The Historical, Hysterical and Barely Standing (editor/publisher)

Americans are SAD about the way things are going in our country. We are SAD that government is bigger and that government’s growth has eroded our personal freedoms. We are SAD that taxes are higher and that our dollars are wasted. We are SAD that our government has saddled our children and grandchildren with an almost insurmountable debt which is growing daily. We are SAD that we now have to concern ourselves with ensuring our personal safety and that of our families. But most importantly, Americans are SAD that our elected officials in Washington, D.C., those we have entrusted with the highest honor to serve America, have repeatedly failed to address our concerns and have failed to listen to us and to make things better.   LINK TO TOM HECK FOR US SENATE
