Forever Young: Things You Should Know About Lifelong Learning 1-3

Have you heard about the three levels of Chinese Medicine healers? The first level is to treat an illness before it happens. The second level, is when it is about to happen or just happened in its early stage, and the third level, is when it happened and is severe? Dr. Sung tells you a story of the famous healer/doctor扁鵲 (Bian Que) in Ancient China, and asks you the million-dollar question: If you have a choice, would you like to see a healer who can treat you before an illness happens, or a doctor who can treat you when you are seriously ill?
Next, Dr. Sung shared the importance of a regular and healthy diet, food as medicine, and eating at the right time. In addition, if you have ever thought about you are too old to learn a new subject, knowledge, or skill, please think again. Dr. Sung reviewed the concept of Neural Plasticity to illustrate the meaning of life learning – forever young.
Finally, Dr. Sung reviewed the scientific studies of London Taxi Driver and Second Language Learning to explain how learning new knowledge and skill changes the neural structure in an adult brain. It can be your brain if you want to. You do not want to miss this.
