Well well well, let me share a personal story about my seemingly "super nice Christian neighbour" and my "alcoholic "crack head looking" neighbours and the huge differences between them. When does giving someone chances to step up or how many times do you have to tell someone your boundaries before it turns into disrespect? Welcome back to this week episode! Today we're diving into the negative stigma that is attached to people battling mental health and addictions. I share my personal opinion on why we are losing people at an alarming rate, and how my own daughter almost lost her mother for good because of fear of being honest about my struggles and the dangers of having "fake support" around you. Yup you read that right... I figured with the seasons changing and I know this time of year can bring on some seasonal depression or just the blues, why not share a wacky love story from my past? Moms should suffer in silence. Moms should never admit they're overwhelmed, out touched, over stimulated, depressed, suicidal, struggling in addiction or needing a break. But why? Moms are still human after all? Are moms not allowed to admit anything besides how well they're kid did at daycare or how fantastic todays play date went. Are moms only ever supposed to be so happy about constantly being needed. Are moms only supposed to be perfectly balanced in mental health?
