In this episode, my special guest is traditional astrologer and magician, Nina Gryphon and we discuss the coming eclipse season which features three eclipses – a Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon) in Sagittarius on June 5, a Solar Eclipse (New Moon) in Cancer on June 21 and a Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon) in Capricorn on July 5. We place particular emphasis on the Cancer Solar Eclipse on June 21 which will be at 0 degrees Cancer and on the Solstice, quite a rare and potent event. In this episode of the Radiant Astrology Podcast, my guest is Jungian analyst, astrologer and mystic Sherene Vismaya who takes us on a journey into Pluto’s Underworld. We’re in Retrograde season as Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto have all turned retrograde pulling back from forward motion and taking on a journey to the Soul of the Deep. However, the greatest pull toward the Underworld is heralded by the Lord of Hell himself, Pluto, who stationed retrograde on April 24 at 24 degrees of Capricorn. Pluto is retrograde every year for about half the year and its these times that the attunement to depth is greatest. Pluto will station direct on October 3 at 22 degrees Capricorn – the degree of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in January. This suggests that there is still more to unearth and eliminate in themes of control and abuse of power, particularly patriarchal and authoritarian control in all forms – in the external world and even within ourselves. I could think of no better guide into the realm of Pluto’s Underworld journey than my friend and colleague Sherene Vismaya. She’s a Jungian analyst, astrologer and mystic whose wisdom and guidance is especially profound for times like these. In this episode of the Radiant Astrology Podcast, I discuss the astrology of teenage environmental activist Greta Thunberg with my guest, astrologer Melissa LaFara, host of the Energetic Principles Podcast. Melissa and I reflect on some of the turning points in Greta’s now well-documented rise as an international celebrity activist, as well as some of the signatures of her natal chart that suggest her internal character, how she interacts with the world as well as her unfolding potential. The natal Moon we determined was between 16 Capricorn and 0 Aquarius, however, we were still able to glean quite a bit from what the astrological symbols suggest when we compare them to her life events. The Scorpio Full Moon will be exact on Saturday, May 18 at 2:11 PM PDT, 5:11 PM EDT at 27 degrees Scorpio/Taurus. The annual Scorpio Full Moon is often the most transformative Full Moon of the year as Scorpio symbolizes metamorphosis, empowerment, surrender and profound healing. While all Full Moons tend to illuminate, in Scorpio it can be especially intensified because often what is brought to light is that which has been hidden, and secret for a long time. Only when we illuminate darkness can we access soul-level healing. This is also known as the Wesak Moon, the Moon under which it is said that the Buddha attained enlightenment. In my talk with Evolutionary Astrologer and Past Life Regressionist Patricia Walsh on the Radiant Astrology Podcast, she enlightens us on the special significance of the Wesak Moon in the esoteric traditions and it’s potential for cosmic alignment and blessings.
