Corruption of Our Judicial System
Episode in
Real Talk For Lawyers
Lois and Dinma continue with the discussion on the arrest of the judicial officers. In this episode, the topic of the discussion is the corruption that prevails within not only the judiciary but in all government parastatals.
In light of the buzzing news of the syphoning of funds between the Chief CR and officers of the finance department in the supreme court, corruption is engrained into the very fibre of the Nigerian system and no one is held accountable, so it poses a BIG challenge and we wonder can this country be cleaned out of this disease?
Lets hear your views, what can be done? how can we fight this DISEASE called CORUPPTION? please share by placing your comments in the comment section below or by sending a mail to podcast@legalpediaonline.com

Judges? Kidnapped or Arrested?
Episode in
Real Talk For Lawyers
In this episode, Lois and Dinma discuss the recent invasion of the houses of several judicial officers by officers of the State Security Service or Directorate of State Services (DSS).
In the course of the said invasions, the homes of the judges were searched and some of them arrested and of course it was also reported that the search led to the discovery of huge sums of money in local and foreign currency.
The argument Lois and Dinma have is, do the DSS have the statutory powers to arrest the judicial officers? what does this act imply to the judiciary? what institution is really currupt?

Episode 20: Domestic Violence Against Women
Episode in
Real Talk For Lawyers
Lois and Dinma continue on their series on domestic violence and in this episode they focus on women. You can catch up on the previous episode on child abuse in case you missed it.
Unfortunately, violence against women has been part of the fabric of many societies and cultures worldwide but its so predominate here in Nigeria. It is so commonplace that it is often going unnoticed. It has also failed to earn the level of concern it deserves in light of the devastating effects on children and the family as a whole. Sadly, the victims of this situation are at a loss of what to do and how to find help and it can be heartbreaking.
Lois and Dinma discuss and give a few tips on what can be done. But as always they would love to hear from you, so you can place your opinions and view in the comment section below or send a mail to podcast@legalpediaonline.com

In this interesting episode, Lois and Dinma discuss Rule 10 of the Rules of Professional Conduct 2007.
The rule in essence states that every legal practitioner cannot submit and legal document without it being affixed with an NBA approved stamp and seal.
