On this special Shabbat we had our annual Purim Celebration. Purim is the celebration found in the book of Esther in the Bible and centers on God’s Promise to never leave or forsake his Jewish people. Rabbi Matt walks us through the story of Esther and echo’s the question of the, now, Superbowl champion Seattle Seahawks, “Why Not Us?"

Live Humility is part 9 and the last message in the series Live Well, a study through the New Testament book of 1 Peter. As Peter closes his letter in chapter 5 he encourages us to live humility. Rabbi Matt gives us four keys to living with humility and always keeping our focus on The greatness of Yeshua!

Life of Sharing is part eight of the series Live Well through the New Testament book of 1 Peter. In 1 Peter 4:7-19, Peter encourages his readers that “love covers over a multitude of sins.” Rabbi Matt shows gives us four practical ways that we can live a life of sharing and better reflect our Messiah when we share Him with family, friends and anyone we meet!

Transformed Living is part 7 of the series Live Well through the New Testament book of 1 Peter. In Chapter four of his letter Peter encourages us to not live according to the judgment of people but according to God in the Spirit. Rabbi Matt shows us how we can ask the Lord to “arm yourselves with the same mind” as our Messiah Yeshua.

Blessed Life is part 6 of the series Live Well. In 1 Peter 3:13-22 Peter tells us what it means to live well and lived a blessed life. Rabbi Matt shows us why the American Dream is not the blessed life and how the true blessed life comes from knowing & being known by your Creator.

Living Relationships is Part 5 of the series Live Well. In 1 Peter 2:18-3:12, Peter encourages his readers to take care of the important relationships in your life and recognize that God is not interested in being fair. In fact, we thank God that God is not interested in being fair. Whatever he gives us is so much better than we deserve. Rabbi Matt encourages us to do as Peter instructs us; To live in harmony, be sympathetic with each other, be compassionate & humble and always repay any hurt with blessing!

Live Free is part 4 of the series through 1 Peter, Live Well. In 1 Peter 2:11-17 Peter tells us how to Live Free in the world we live and what it looks like to live free. Rabbi Matt takes us through four ways we can be people who live free and live well!

Living Memorials is part 3 of the series Live Well through the New Testament books 1 & 2 Peter. In 1 Peter 2:4-10 we find out about the cornerstone of our faith Yeshua. He is life for those who believe and a stumbling block for those who do not believe. God’s desire is for you to stumble on the person of Yeshua so that you can recognize Him for who He is…The Creator of you and the whole universe. In this message Rabbi Matt Rosenberg shows us how we can be Living Memorials to the life and work of Yeshua.

Live Other is part 2 of the series Live Well, a study through the New Testament book of 1 & 2 Peter. In 1 Peter 1:13-4:2 Peter tells us to live Holy (Other) lives and that we should be Other because God is Other. Rabbi Matt walks us through this section of Scripture and gives us four ways that we can live in this culture we are a part of and Live Other in it.

The Life of Peter, one of the original followers of Yeshua, is one of high highs and low lows. Peter is a passionate man of extremes and is one of the important voices in telling the story of Yeshua’s life, death and resurrection. As we begin the series “How To Live Well” Rabbi Matt shows us through 1 Peter 1:1-12 how we can Live Well in the 21st Century!

History is part 7, the last message, of the series Mercy & Redemption in the Book of the Ruth. At the end of the book of Ruth is a genealogy that leads to David, the second king of Israel. In this message Rabbi Matt compares the genealogy in the book of Ruth with the genealogy of our Messiah Yeshua in Matthew 1. God wants to redeem you, your family and your history and these scriptures show us that where you start is not as important as where you end.

Legacy is part 6 of the series Mercy & Redemption in the Book of Ruth. Ruth 4:1-12 is the beginning of the end of the book of Ruth. Boaz goes about the work of actually redeeming Ruth and the property of her dead husband. Boaz chooses, by his actions, what kind of legacy he is going to leave for future generations. In the same way God’s desire is for you to leave a legacy that will last past you, your life and your name. Rabbi Matt shows us how to leave a legacy that will last!

Redemption is part five of the series Mercy & Redemption in the Book of Ruth. In this message Rabbi Matt walks us through Ruth chapter three and the shady situation between Naomi, Ruth and Boaz. This part of the narrative of the book of Ruth reminds us that God loves to use imperfect people to accomplish his purposes. As Boaz “redeems” Ruth so Yeshua our Messiah is our “Kinsman-Redeemer” who paid a price, through his death and resurrection, so that we could be redeemed. Yeshua wants His followers to share this redemption with the people around us!

Kindness is part 4 of the series Mercy & Redemption in the Book of Ruth. Chesed (Hebrew) is often translated as “Kindness” but it translates to many words in English. Rabbi Matt talks about Ruth 2:4-23 and how God has called all who follow Him to do Chesed. God gives shows us undeserved Chesed and He expects us to show undeserved Chesed to people around us.

Just By Chance is part 3 (Ruth 2:1-3) of the series Mercy & Redemption In The Book Of Ruth. Some events in our lives seem like chance, fate or luck but the book of Ruth shows us that God is orchestrating the details of our lives so that we see Him for who He really is; The Maker of all things! Rabbi Matt shows us how to surrender to God and trust that He is working out good plans for you!

Bitterness is part 2 of the series Mercy & Redemption In The Book Of Ruth. We all struggle with bitterness wether it is towards God or people in our lives. In this message Rabbi Matt shows us through the story of Naomi (Ruth 1:7-22) how we can overcome bitterness and walk in Mercy.

Emptiness is part 1 of the series Mercy & Redemption in the Book of Ruth. Rabbi Matt takes us through Ruth 1:1-6 and breaks down the emptiness that Naomi experiences in the loss of her husband and two sons. We all experience emptiness in our lives and God wants to fill your emptiness and open doors for you so that you can return to God. For both those who have been walking with Yeshua for many years and for those who have not believed in Yeshua yet...this message is for you!

On this Veterans Day our Colonel PK White, a Beit Messiah board member and retired Air Force Colonel, shared a message on Psalm 91 known by many in the military as the Soldiers Psalm.
