Resurgence Initiatives

When Jesus called His disciples He called them to a movement. This movement was one that changed history on a global scale while impacting the lives of the individual disciples. As followers of Jesus today, we are called to be a part of that same movement and it happens on a large scale but it also happens in our hearts as we surrender ourselves to His plan and leadership. At our Edmonton Gathering in September, 2023 at Spruce Grove Community Church, Travis Holownia shared this amazing word on Luke 5:17-26. We have a desire to see everyone come to the saving knowledge of Jesus, but oftentimes, in our focus on the crowds, we can miss the one right in front of us. When Jesus was ministering a crowded house, a few men had to break through the roof and lower their friend in need of healing to see Jesus. This 'interruption' led to an incredible encounter for the man, who was healed and forgiven by Jesus.
