There are more than 40'000 DIFFERENT listed companies throughout the world, classified into 11 different sectors, and 69 different industries. Some of these are WAY better than others, but the sheer number of different options can make it REALLY hard for us to narrow down our options and decide what to buy.  Although we want to spend MOST of our time looking for companies we DO like, knowing what we DON'T want lets us move on from the trash faster, so that we don't waste too much time thinking about bad investments.
