All we have are positive thoughts about the latest representation of the Clown Prince of Gotham. Todd Phillips shows he's more than the 'Hangover Guy' by slowly creeping under your skin as he shows a mentally ill man transform into one of the most beloved villains in existence. Joaquin Phoenix might as well have scales, a curly tail, and a three foot tongue because the man is a giddamn chameleon. He raises the bar on a character that has been played by some of the best actors of their generation. This standalone film is so subtle and detailed that a second watch is more than worth your while. Although dark and disturbing, Joker will definitely make you put on a happy face. Sacré Bleu!

12. Ad Astra

Da 5 Bloods is a Spike Lee joint from start to finish with the Oscar winning director's fingerprints all over it. This film follows four Vietnam vets (and one son) as they return to the land that scarred them forever in search of the treasure they left behind. It flows seamlessly between present day, flashbacks, and historical footage to display the plight of black Americans at home and abroad. Made as a commentary on the hypocrisy of racism in America, Spike Lee hits the bullseye in his newest film. Join us as we break down this Oscar nominated (probably will win a few) film. Sacré Bleu!

Wake up at 2:30 AM, say your prayers, and start pumping some iron because Marky Mark is back in Spenser Confidential. Join us as we review Netflix's latest action comedy and don our worst Boston accents. This movie has everything an action-comedy needs, but falls flat in the end with a few redeeming bright spots along the way. You already know exactly what happens without having to watch it, but watch it anyway just in case the Funky Bunch makes a guest appearance. Sacré Bleu!

Just when the stakes couldn't get any higher…. THEY DO! This week we dive into The Meg, a movie so corny you wish Micheal Bay would have directed it. Almost a parody of itself, this film has action, romance, goofs, and gaffs. No Viagra needed for this non-stop dad boner extravaganza. Travel back to the 1960's and follow Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and Ken Miles (Christian Bale) as they attempt to overthrow Ferrari as champions of the 24 hours of Le Mans. We critique this beautifully shot and edited film along with Luke's disdain for men who wear cowboy hats miles away from the nearest radio. Sacré Bleu!

What the Willoughby is up with Netflix's newest animated original? Join Luke and Marguerite as they break down this off-beat flick narrated by Ricky Gervais and featuring the voices of Maya Rudolph, Terry Crews, and a litany of other stars. Usually animated movies are about orphans trying to find a family and not children trying to become orphans. You can watch it all play out in the wonderfully whimsical world of The Willoughbys.

This one’s a right proper review, innit? This week we visit Guy Ritchie's latest British crime adventure starring Mathew McConaughey and half of Britain's working actors. Then when you thought we couldn't stoop any lower, we perform some unrelated impressions that prove to be more disastrous than Howie's life.

Join us as we discuss Birds of Prey and the Emancipation of an Extraordinarily Long Title. Led by Margot Robbie with a strong supporting performance from Ewan McGregor (Not a fighter), this film follows the Harlequin of Hate as she navigates Gotham as a newly (and involuntarily) single woman. Anything is possible with girl power and cheesy jokes in Harley's first "solo"film.

Marguerite and Luke review Taika Waititi's WW II satire Jojo Rabbit. From the mind of What We Do in the Shadows and Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit is a fresh look at a traditionally gloomy topic. Luke is a self-proclaimed fanboy of Waititi's humor, aesthetic, and ability to make the most hated man in history into a quirky imaginary friend. With breakout performances from young stars (Roman Griffin Davis and Thomasin McKenzie) and Hollywood A-listers (Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell). Come join a couple of nincompoops prove that everyone's a critic.
