A Fine Balance is being co-presented by Auckland Theatre Company and Prayas Theatre. In this episode, Sananda sits down with two people very instrumental in bringing together these two companies to talk about the collaboration. Amit Ohdedar, the Founder of Prayas and Historical & Cultural Advisor for the show, and Lynne Cardy, Associate Director of Auckland Theatre Company.

When we discussed the emergency early on in the process of making A Fine Balance, we found that history had been re-written for younger generations. Depending on your background including age, religion, where your family are from in India and political alignment, everyone had received a different version of what happened during Indira Gandhi’s emergency.
