Three superb deep house mini-mixes from the three, all lovingly encased with nonsense chat and (this month only) egg-based banter - as well as a re-cap of the new Midnight Callers show from Heath and Dave, and a frightening look into the future of AI-powered radio...

More beats and nonsense chat to while away the time, with the trio answering a fireworks-based listeners question, alongside new jobs and a deep appreciation of Paper Recordings.

The Tailor, The Raconteur and TV's Mr Smooth are back on the Radio to talk around the fire about all things autumn and The Beatnik's journey to Defected's Malta Party. Three smooth mixes also await, with a Party Started label focus on Maxi Discs, before DT took us to Chuggsville, a la Paul Simon, Jezebelle, Parkway Records and more, and then the GB went above 120bpm for a spacey spicy disco infused mix guaranteed to get the dancefloor tickled.

The Second City Trio are back together - and for the first time on Soul Roots - with some more deep and chilled house coupled with some irreverent chat for the September Mixtape. This month the trio talk about the hysteria that came with recent historic times, along with a readers question that took them all by surprise. The Tailor, Raconteur and TV"s Mr Smooth are back and bearing up in July's heat.  We heard about Dave's latest award revelation, alongside Mr GB's tips for staying cool in the sun, before we turned up the heat with some beautifully crisp deep house, chugging swagger, and a funk lined odyssey.

The theme for this month's episode was heat - warm air and warm sounds, as the chaps felt the heat and applied more on to the dance floor. A chuggy, 110bpm 80's rework set from Andy Medlock, followed by new cosmic disco sounds from Dave Tomkins, finished off by a set from Ginger Beatnik of loved treasures ably remixed by the likes of the Reflex, LNTG and more.  We also found out the Beatnik's latest job, Mr Smooth's calendar Centrefold career, and confusion over cows and camels...

Fresh Podcast action as Andy Medlock from the Second City Sounds crew brings his Beautiful Deep sound to a new 60 minute monthly segment. This month takes a diverse and distinct laid back, downtempo, easy listening affair often found on our Coastal Drive segment, crossing multiple genres - and with a slice of deep house thrown in to boot.  Perfect for Easter chilling, long drives, and every laid back activity in-between.

We're back! Kind of.  Due to other commitments (including Ginger Beatnik's sell out tour of Paraguay and Bolivia, and Dave Tomkins rekindling his modelling career) the Second City Sound crew couldn't meet in person - but were able to bring the usual staple of superb deep house, cosmic disco and all kinds of enjoyment in between.  Andy Medlock started the party once more with some jazz-infused deep house, before we journeyed into Space with the Ginger Beatnik, before TV's Mr Smooth Dave Tomkins rounded off proceedings with his own cosmic disco epic.  So come join us once more as we trip the light fandango. The kitchen looks ripe for dancing. And I’m asking…

Well well well...Join Andy Medlock, the delectable Ginger Beatnik, and the Delicious Dave Tomkins for another Second City Sounds mixtape.  This time the stars have aligned as our monthly slot just happened to fall on the most wondrous day of the year for DJING, and that got us super excited. We went from high seas to deep space via an inspired mispronunciation,  and we spoke about grabbing firmly to the Year of The Tiger too..  Twas an excellent New Years Eve sail  - the mast and rigging is up, the sail is hoist - we have some excellent seaman on board, and we’re ready to christen the latest vessel for our journey.  

The Trio were back for an early December meeting and mixup, courtesy of Thames FM radio.  The Ginger Beatnik Grinch was out in full force, but we turned that frown upside down with another beautiful array of music spanning party house, soul, funk and cosmic disco - and all other delights in-between.

Andy Medlock went first for a 30 minute warm up set, before El Capitan Ginger Beatnik invited us on to his canal barge for a storming mid-night set, leading us to the foraging house harvest festival that was Dave Tomkins closing set.
