David Banks lives in Omaha, Nebraska. For the last 20 years he has been performing production and restoration tasks for comic book related projects. When he retired from my day job, he gave himself a not-for-profit “Fan” assignment called The Micronauts 3-year restoration project. Now two years into the work and with an estimated another year to go. Over 2,000 pages of covers and interior art pages will be restored (not recreated). There will be a how-to “Restoring Old Comics” book assembled from detailed notes and examples gathered along the way. There will be a series of simple videos sharing restoration techniques.
