She is a DONA International certified birth doula, certified lactation counselor, Lamaze certified childbirth educator and placenta encapsulator who has been doing birth work since 2016. She’s the queen mom (at least that’s what she tells her kids) of a vibrant Mexican-Nigerian-Minnesotan melting pot home in Minneapolis with her husband and 3 hilariously shady children.

I'm your host Monica Jones and I’m so excited to be kicking off Season 4 of the She is You Podcast, which honestly should be call season 3.5 since 2020 would not let season 3 be great. But here we are ready to end the year with an amazing season filled with realness and goodness.
This season we are going deep. We will be discussing masternce(a new word for me but something we all go through as new mothers), the importance of having a doula during your pregnancy and birth experience, addressing generational trauma and so much more. I'm sure we are all fully emerged into our New Year's resolutions as am I but the other day I go to thinking about motherhood. I started to ask myself where are my goals around being a mom? I had fitness goals, financial goals, personal goals etc. but none for how to improve as a mom.
So after taking some time to reflect I came up with 5 goals I've added to my resolutions that I'm hoping will help me become a better mom.
