Hey everybody that listens to Sketch Comedy Podcast Show!
I just want to say you guys have been great listeners, you didn’t interrupt once! It was kind of fantastic. But we were looking for a little bit more interaction and we’re also looking for a new podcast hosting company and guess what, we found one! We don’t want to lose any of you as listeners though, and I know that PodBean will be deleting all of our files very, very soon. That’s the bad news. The good news is there is a place to go get those files right now, and if you are interested you can click on the show notes that if you’re looking at this on your phone, if you push the artwork it’ll pop up with a bunch of words and I have links to all the new places you can go for our stuff but primarily we’re going to have it set up so that if you click on sketchcomedypodcastshow.com It takes you directly to our feed where you can continue to listen to our show and view our new website, which is really neat and right now I’m in the middle of revamping, getting everything nice and fresh and reformatting the shows they it makes a lot more sense and… I’m very excited about it! It gives me something to do I guess because I didn’t have enough to do in my life.
The other cool thing is I’m recording now for season, if you will 2, of the new format of Sketch Comedy Podcast Show. I’ve got some great guests that I’ve already had recording sessions with and I’ve got some really good plans on getting some more really great guests! I’m very excited about this next season and we’re also going to be revamping the You Tube channel so it’s a lot more entertaining and a lot better and… what else are we doing now? Oh T-shirts! The whole thing!
You’re just going to see a lot more of Sketch Comedy Podcast Show. I’m really going to throw some dough, at promoting the show! That that was not intentional You gotta believe me that was not intentional.
So, this is the last post you’re going to see on PodBean, but don’t fret! You can go to http://scps.fireside.fm. or pretty soon you just be able to go right to http://sketchcomedypodcastshow.com. That’s where you’re going to see a blog, you’re going to see all of our episodes available to you, and you are going to see a really neat format for the website which I think is just perfect. So thank you so much PodBean, it was great but I’m very excited about this new stuff; it’s going to cut down on the amount of work I’ve got to do and lets me focus on the thing I probably should be doing which is being more funny.
Thank you again and I’ll see you over at http://scps.fireside.fm

2 - I Want a Pony! with Alisha Holland | Be careful what you wish for… and when
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Knock, knock! Who’s there? A pony! A pony who? A pony who is going to ruin your life completely.
This is a repost of a previous sketch in the new format. If you like it, if you hate it, please shoot us an email at sketchcomedypodcastshow@gmail.com
Childhood dreams are great, until they come to reality as adults.
When we are children, we spend most of our days and hours just dreaming about two things: our birthdays and Christmas; unless you don’t celebrate those things. But for most of us, those are the two things we focus on. Our entire brain is consumed with magical visions of amazing gifts… and then we usually just get gift cards. Childhood is pretty dumb.
During the recording session, we talked about all sorts of good things like #DuckFetish #OnFappingPond and other things related to water fowl. Alisha gets older. Send us money, or send money to Bernie Sanders, either way, if you match Alisha’s age in money to either get at T-shirt! #HipsterEmo - The hipster that knows too much, and Stuart’s new Halloween costume. Alisha and Stuart converse about great bargain stores #BargainAlley. Alisha celebrated her birthday and played bingo. Stuart crumbles to peer pressure. There was almost a Dukes of Hazzard moment which leads to a weird interaction with a cop. A phrase that should never be used on a nude beach is discussed. Gross kid stories are discussed. Alisha believes John Cougar Mellancamp and Prince are the same person. She is going to LOVE that statement. STD checks make you a virgin again. The sketch recording is, quite possibly, the most tense and uncomfortable moment on the podcast… Join us for it!
In our Classic sketch we get some insight into how Alisha’s dating life used to go. It wasn’t pretty.

One Night Stand - This is a test for a new format! Let me know what you think!
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Hey fans of Sketch Comedy Podcast Show! It’s me, Stuart, your host!
You may have noticed the lack of new episodes lately, it’s true, there haven’t been any, but that is not because of you. Please don’t blame yourselves. Sketch Comedy Podcast Show loves you very much it’s just that, as a podcast gets a little older sometimes it’s time to take a look back and reflect… which is impossible if you are just scrambling to make a show week after week.
So, as a gift to myself, I am going to be taking a sabbatical from the show. I want to explore and try new things. Is it scary, yes, because I know that by doing this it is quite possible that I will lose the listeners I already have. But I feel like the potential to grow is much better and there are some things I feel I would like to be doing with the show:
First, this show needs to be more interactive. That means more conversations with you out there! I would really love to hear some suggestions, some critiques, and genuinely some anything from everyone! I have had the pleasure of having a couple of fans be on the show and it is always a delightful experience and something I want to continue to do in the future, but I would also love to interact more with you on social media and any way possible. Even in real-time in real places! I am also getting a lot of suggestions for sketches on the show, and I think it would be fun to just quickly record those and throw them in a show. I need to do this because I hate advertising, and I would love to get support from everyone who listens to the show. Support can range from money to just sharing and recommending the show.
Second, I want to get the format of this show right. Seriously. I can’t tell if people like the 3 episode a week thing or not, or if you might like this format better because it is longer, or what. So, this is the first experiment! Let’s see if you like having the longer format of the show! If you have suggestions for how to arrange the show, even better! On top of that, I would love to hear remixes of this episode to a format you think would be better! If you like the idea of doing the sketch after the recording session, try it and let me know!
Also, I am considering switching podcast hosting and possibly even shutting down the website. Why? It is not generating any revenue for me, it is super costly, and quite frankly it is a lot of work. So, I am considering moving the podcast to a different service that is easier and has a website engine that is much nicer to use. If you have any suggestions for this, I am all ears.
Lastly, and this is my promise to you, I want to work on getting some bigger names on the podcast. I recently did a recording session with Mike Phirman, which was a lot of fun, but I would love to hear suggestions on guests you would like to hear make a sketch on the fly.
All of this is very exciting, and let’s see if you like this format to the show!

Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Sorry this is late. I planned on getting it out on time but, you know… Remember not too long ago when smoking marijuana was something only criminals and low-lifes did. Our parents would drink wine or beer and tell us how damaging marijuana would be to us while taking drags on their cigarettes and eating a high-carb diet… health is hard.

98 - #1 Super Funny Super Show #8
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
It’s another Super Show, where you can take a longer drive and enjoy the sketches all together! If you listen closely, there is a story going on in the background… please let us know if you hear it!
I’m not going to lie… it’s been a challenging last couple of months. Work has me swamped and scheduling guests has been difficult. So, to buffer for the time-being, this show is going to happen, then a Classic episode for #99 and then… I’m taking a little break and getting Episode 100 recorded (Very excited about it) and finishing up a couple of other recording sessions before heading into the next 100 episodes. The show has been around for 4 years and I really want to hit the gas this next year and make it something really special. I am going to be asking a lot of everyone… mainly just to share the show more. If you like it, or you just like the concept and want more interesting people, we have to build the audience and we have to do it together.
But this is a fun Super Show! We have Jim Greenfield telling us how $10 can save our souls! Jimmy Asbell then tells us we should instead give him $10 so we can be fucking awesome! Alisha comes back (or we reach back into the past) for a couple of sketches: one about the newest offering from FitBit and the other about a group of cheerleaders we should probably not be cheering for.
All of this and no puppies were hurt in the making of these sketches! (Finally)

Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Stuart welcomes Donal Connolly (@DonalMConnolly) of the “Behave Yourself” podcast, a podcast that looks at the goofy side of behavior and try to figure out why we do the things we do. Donal has a degree in psychology and is getting one in economics and Stuart tries to get some dating advice, which is what the two end up making a sketch about. If you like accents, this is your podcast!

Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Sometimes it takes more than what we know, sometimes it takes an expert. And sometimes those experts are people we know, sometimes those people are on the radio. Sometimes we get answers we like and sometimes we get commercials. Regardless, we all want answers and, to be fair, we are pretty desperate to have someone else make bad choices on our behalf.

Repost - Episode 203: Anniversabirthday! “Romance” Reimagined…
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
We take a look back fondly at our first episode… because listening to it is too hard! So, Alisha and Stuart decided to re-record and reimagine those classic sketches! We get treated to sex sounds and more with outtakes from the movie “Her”, realize what Romeo & Juliet would sound like if it was a modern tale, listen in on a couple at a restaurant that shouldn’t watch any more “Friday” movies, find out what life is like at home at the Kent household, and get a really fantastic offer from a nice Scottish gentleman. If interested, we can also release the first episode we ever produced on Thursday, but trust me, you probably do not want us to do that. (Originally published 4/14/2015)

Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Pranks, let’s talk about them. I’ve noticed that pranks are only funny when I am the one doing them, they are not funny if anyone else does them. Unless someone is pulling a prank on someone else, then they are funny. If someone is pulling a prank on me, it is really not funny, and borders on just being rude. I think people should just leave pranking to me, because I make the funniest pranks.

93 - Recording Session: Kreative Kheerleading Kompetition with Alisha Holland (Recorded 1/16/2016)
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
First off, apologies for the apparent vacuums that are coming out of our faces. This was an episode where the technical difficulties definitely overwhelmed us, which is why this is kind of a lost episode. For some reason, Alisha’s audio vanished, but after a lot of processing I was able to get it back. Why did I spend so much time on this? Because what a delightful conversation about Stuart’s anatomy, Alisha’s horrifying movie experience and more! Then, we use a thing that happened at one of Stuart’s daughter’s cheer competitions to come up with a sketch.

92 - Kreative Kheerleading Kompetition | Maybe don’t root so much for these teams
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
In celebration of @Stoopac’s daughter, @aleyriice going to the Cheerleading National Championships (#NotSoHumbleBrag), we revisit an episode that was lost about a year ago! During one of the competitions from a couple of years ago, there was a team that competed using a cheer that included the phrase “white is our power” and then there was a whole Trump cheerleading thing that happened and… well… it resulted in this sketch. Alisha did a really good job coming up with cheers on the fly.

We record an episode about catching people cheating on their exercise regiment. We also get a little snippy with each other. Okay, we get a LOT snippy with each other. I really suggest that you stay with us during the uncomfortable long silences… they are just AMAZING!
We also kind of mess with someone on OKC, she is awful. It is really bad that we did this, but for anyone that has been slighted online dating you can understand.

88 - Classic: Beast and the Beauty | Personality goes about this far
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Fairy tales have taught us a great many things, like how women can’t take care of themselves and need some hunky stud to come rescue them all the time. But beyond that, fairy tales show us that sometimes beauty is not just skin deep, and that even the fairest of them all can have a heart of stone. Not in this case. And actually, I wouldn’t mind meeting the gorgeous, evil stepmother. I bet she’s a beast in bed, if you know what I mean?… Man, this is the douchiest intro I have ever written.

Once again, it’s a complete drive-time show! (As long as you don’t live in Portland anymore, am I right local fans?) This episode has a little bit of everything you want and nothing you need! Katie BBB and I try to answer the question: “Do you know where your #fifi bag is?”. The guys from The Sprocket Podcast (@sprocket) work on how to fix a leaky pipe in an unlikely place. Innocence abounds as Aaron Ryder does his best to start a band. Lastly, an out-of-towner walks into a restaurant and needs some help finding the right thing to eat. Enjoy!

Episode in

Some say it’s the hardest thing they will ever do, quitting smoking. But it’s so much better for one’s health. Let’s face it, better health is so much better for you! Oh sure, you are going to miss the crinkle of the paper as you open the package, and that satisfying smell as they breathe for the first time, followed by the lighting of the cigarette, not to mention the incredible feel of that first drag… Mmmmm… what’s that? 85 - Recording Session: Take Me to Church with Jimmy Asbell (Recorded 2/23/2017)
Episode in
Sketch Comedy Podcast Show
Let me tell you about Jim Asbell. Not only is Jim one of the best people I ever had the pleasure to work with, he saved my tookus more than once and helped me realize I was probably working in the wrong place, but he is also just a fantastic human being. What makes him fantastic? Well, he is one of the last people to have polio… wait, that doesn’t make him fantastic, that just makes him have polio…. Well, he is also dying from stage IV colon cancer! What the hell am I talking about? That doesn’t make him fantastic, that just makes me sad. Oh, I know what I meant to say: even though he has had hardship from the time he was very little, and got the rotten luck of getting cancer later in life, he approaches these things with more zest and gusto than I deal with someone at McDonalds getting my order wrong. Jim is so dedicated to living life to the fullest, and having other people do the same, he wrote an amazing book entitled “Live Well With Terminal Illness and Other Crappy Diseases” (buy a copy here: http://amzn.to/2miEt9t and all proceeds are donated to cancer research). Not only is it a good book to read if you are dying, it is a tremendous read for anyone who is feeling particularly stuck in this world. You have no idea how good you have it, but Jim does and let’s you know you are wasting it. Not only that, but he does amazing portraits of pets! (jimmy-asbell.pixels.com). Oh, we talk about all the things, and we also record a sketch which had my jaw on the floor… Jimmy knows how to party!
