From the exhibition Sports: Breaking Records, Breaking Barriers, this podcast gives us an opportunity to hear about our nation’s sporting past and to understand an athlete’s relationship to sports, the media, and society at large. Narated by basketball legend, Bill Russell with the voices of Sarina Williams and many others.

Created as a companion to the Smithsonian traveling exhibition Jim Hensons Fantastic World, the podcast offers a behind-the-scenes look at Jim Henson and the fantastic creations of his imagination. The 30-minute tour features Karen Falk, Director of the Henson Archives, Craig Shemin, former writer for the Jim Henson Company and Cheryl Henson, Jim Henson’s daughter and the president of the Henson Foundation. This podcast was produced for the Louisiana Art and Science Museum by Acoustiguide Inc. with the assistance of The Jim Henson Legacy, through a generous grant from ATandT. Roberto Clemente became a baseball legend during the 1960s and 70s with his explosive throwing arm, his lightning speed, and his high batting average, but he was much more than an astounding athlete. For millions of fans across the world, especially in his native Puerto Rico and in Latin America, Clemente was a cultural hero who gave underprivileged people a voice.
