So...SNL: A Saturday Night Live Podcast

We never got to talk about Wayne's World on So...SNL, but we just released a Make Mine a Double Feature episode about both movies. Here's that episode. Robert talks about Wayne's World, which starts with "Bohemian Rhapsody" and ends three times. Then Ellen tells Robert about the sequel because dream Jim Morrison said if she told it, they would listen. Pour a screwdriver, party on, and go subscribe to the Make Mine a Double Feature podcast for more movie recaps with a twist. http://mmadfpodcast.libsyn.com/website

Robert runs through the sketches, fake commercial, and musical performances that made the season 4 premiere so...SNL. Ellen lets Robert know what went on 39 years later, when Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, hosted in season 43. Dan Aykroyd's probing danger, Keenan is OJ, Belushi shouts, and mice suck at dressmaking this time on So...SNL.

We travel through time and find animals, Belushis, and Michael Palin.

We weren't crazy about Kay Perry's performances in the season 42 finale, so we thought we'd see if she did any better hosting half a decade ago. She did. It's fine. We get some Stefon and our beloved Jason Sudeikis singing. Don't forget to go check out our other show, Make Mine a Double Feature, where we have drinks and recap movies for each other. Thanks for listening.

We watch the season 42 finale hosted by the former Rock and future POTUS Dwayne Johnson, who's sewing superhero costumes, dropping vicious wrestling promos, and inventing certain robots. Thanks for listening to this. Listen to Make Mine a Double Feature, too. @SoSnlPodcast

Ellen likes a sketch! Robert talks about Tony Rosato. Eddie Murphy has a letter from Reagan, Ronald McDonald's solving crimes, and ships are going down in 1981. @SoSnlPodcast

We're talking hot tubs, guns, pennies, tails, and pants because John Malkovich hosted back in 2008 and things got so SNL. Show name! @SoSnlPodcast

We're back in season one to see bees, songs, a flasher, and no muppets!

We travel to the planet Gorbzo like a couple of Gorbizians--or something Star Trek-y like that...to watch Bill "The Shat" Shatner wear hideous knitwear and marvel at his own muscles. He has two butts. And we have two podcasts. The other one is Make Mine a Double Feature, and it's available now! @SoSnlPodcast

We hear voices from 1999 when unBritish host Gwyneth Paltrow pours everything she's got into material about nurses, A&E Biography, and trees.

We're talking whale bones, Chris Hardwick, and Goop. Torture, cocoa, blue lights, and boots. @SoSnlPodcast

Drop everything and nudge the person nearest to you because they need to hear this: Al Gore endorsed Howard Dean in 2003! That's what we have to report after our latest trip into SNL's past. Well, that and the fact that Al Gore endorsed Howard Dean and the fact that Al Gore endorsed Howard Dean.

We check out the first episode of Saturday Night Live that a littler Robert ever saw. It's the also little Macaulay Culkin talking chicken butts and bum-looking while the Richmeister says names and the Super Fans eat meat. Brought to you by Nauticult!

We make a quick trip to the late 80s to see if Woody Harrelson was getting to know livestock in the "Cowboy Way" back when he hosted NBC's Saturday Night Live. Woody sings, Victoria Jackson impersonates, Dennis Miller gobbles, and we forget to weigh in on our favorite sketches and cast members. Brought to you by Robert's all-day bender and Ellen's patience.

We get a smushed up alphabet, technical mishaps, and songs songs songs back when Raquel Welch hosted in 1976. @SoSnlPodcast

With Paul Rudd hosting back in 2010, it's time for a little holiday nipple rubbing, doorman naming, Beatle bashing, and even singing on this Christmas Day release of So...SNL. Brought to you by Disappointment. @SoSnlPodcast / SoSnlPodcast@gmail.com

Surprise! It's a special bonus episode of So...SNL because we had to talk about WWE Superstar John Cena's night of owl poop and bookstore romance. Brought to you by most things! @SoSnlPodcast / SoSnlPodcast@gmail.com

We head back to 1996 to see Martin Short hit a bunch of notes in his monologue and then perform a dangerous stunt. We also see the first Celebrity Jeopardy, What’s-His-Name McKinney tries to sell us some dirty old mattresses, and that Canadian Norm Macdonald is the Update anchor (but the usurper is lurking in the wings). We go back to one of SNL's most notorious seasons to make sure it wasn't good. It wasn't. But it did have babies, military invasions, incoherence, little girls, hand puppets, and Blondie lead singer Gail Matthius...or Debbie Harry...or whoever. Brought to you by Dale Richards' Used Cars of Millsberg, Tennessee. @SoSnlPodcast

This week, we talk about Game of Thrones, underwear, football, deciduous trees, 1988, sweat, Miskel Spillman, whiskey, feet, paintings, used car lots...and the time Joe Montana and Walter Payton co-hosted SNL in 1987. Brought to you by PetFlix! @SoSNLPodcast / SoSNLPodcast@gmail.com
