I was doing it all wrong! Here is WHY! And three shift to make in how you speak and communicate!HOW TO APPLY THE LAW OF POLARITY IN YOUR LIFE BY CLEARING THE THREE BLIND SPOTSHave you heard about “The Law of Polarity.” The law states that there are two sides to everything you can think of. There are two poles, opposites, edges. The difference between the two extremes of one thing is called polarity. The Law of Polarity teaches us that every experience that you perceive as a problem has a solution. Isn’t it great? So, when we are experiencing something wrong, does it mean that we can turn it around? I guess the answer is definitely YES. You can actively change the polarity of what you are experiencing into something else that you desire. Looks clear! But, is it as easy as it’s described? Watch out! I said, “actively.” I will be talking about it later. So let’s break it down a little bit. Imagine you are holding a stick in your hand. It has two edges. And think about what’s lacking, what’s missing, or you are struggling within in your life. Let’s say that everything that doesn’t seem to be working is on the left end of the stick. Visualize it moving to the other end of the stick to the right side. The Law of Polarity clearly states that with the mental focus, we can transform poverty into prosperity, fear into courage, and failure into success. I was coaching one of the students in a multinational company after work hours. It was from 5 pm to 7 pm. My student was already exhausted after all day working. I was teaching business English, mainly grammar and vocabulary focused. One day before we started the coaching session, she said, “I just wanted to tell you before we get started that I was invited to sit on the executive committee of my company.” And I went to give her a high five, and she stopped me. And, I said, “What?” And she said, “I am not gonna go to those meetings. I don’t want them to make fun with my pronunciation. My pronunciation sucks, and we have mainly native speakers at the executive committee, so I don’t understand a word they say.” What popped out of my mind at that split second was, “honey, you will go to those meetings! You are going to share your ideas with confidence. And, I am going to empower you for that!” At that moment, every mistake I saw English course centers making started flooding into me. She didn’t want to go to those meetings because she believed she was not confident with her English after all of those Business English grammar lessons she enrolled with me and some other tutors. She didn’t want to go to those meetings because she didn’t understand native speakers. I saw the missing link in all these Language course centers, mainly focusing on grammar. I know that I will ruffle some feathers here, but teaching methods in language schools, English classrooms, and EnglCoursebooksooks do not help learners speak Englfluentlyence. They are all outdated! Most of my ex-colleagues will agree with me. Grammar should be learned intuitively at the beginning. Studying grammar only impedes student progress. Most native speakers do not know grammar rules. Ask an American, “what is the past perfect tense,” and most will not know. But, of course, they use the past perfect tense correctly every day. In fact, they use English grammar effortlessly. They don’t think about it. They know what “sounds right,” and they know what “sounds wrong.” Proper sentence structure is learned through intuition. By listening and speaking, we pick up on speech patterns and know what sounds correct and incorrect. What matters most is mastering phonetics, pronouncing the words correctly, making fluent speeches, linking words, intonation, and understanding native speakers. English is not geography. It’s not physics either. So, you can’t sit down in the classrooms and study rules and formulas like other school subjects. Again, I am not saying grammar is not important, but I am saying school programs are doing everything wrong. They are underestimating the importance of the foundation of English, phonetics, speech patterns. But I get where the mistake is coming from because teaching phonetics, speech patterns requires extra expertise. And, English teachers are not qualified at it. Listen to your inner guide!Coming back to my story, on the way back home, sitting on a crowded train on a cold winter day in Milan, I outlined everything an English learner needed to be empowered with. At the time, I was working at three different English course centers. I shared my opinion with one of the course centers’ head offices and told them that I wanted to focus on my student’s speaking skills rather than following up with the coursebook. They asked me to stick to the coursebook outline. The next thing I know, I quit my job in all three-course centers and registered myself for a master’s in speech pathology at California State University. From that day on, I had only one mission, empowering people to become great speakers, shining bright on stage, and coaching them on how to share their ideas with confidence. This is how Sevi’s School was born. I stepped with my model that I only work with people who are already successful at what they do, and they need to speak with fluency, share their thoughts with clarity, prepare keynote presentations that glue the audience to their stage. People I work with know what they want in life. So, was it easy? The shift I made! Not really! Stepping up to something unknown in the area made me lose my present students who insisted on learning grammar at the time. I was cutting out half of my potential clients. Because of what is imposed on everybody’s mind about learning grammar, no one would quite get the amazing result of our potential collaboration. But, It was counter-intuitive. When I narrowed my market, I got more of the business. I decided to ride this horse because I saw the result of my collaboration with each client again and again. Each of them, in a month, would become successful speakers. Some of them changed their jobs and were hired by better companies, some of them got promoted, and some became bloggers. They became more successful in their area of business and started to make more money. It has proven true that when you invest in your speech, you become more successful in all ways because communication is the foundation of any relationship you initiate. Because you can share your ideas with confidence instead of digging your head in the sand like an ostrich. And if you wonder what happened to my student who inspired me to do what I do today. She became the CEO of one of the leading companies in the market. Because you see, the only reason she didn’t want to be part of the committee was that she wasn’t fluent in English. She felt less. We worked on it together. She didn’t allow that seemingly big barrier to getting in her way. Now, there are many coaches out there who call themselves Pronunciation Coaches just the way there are many high school graduate English teachers around. You have to pick the right person who has tremendous experience and educational background. Your coach is your leader. The coach needs to walk her talk. So, be picky when you choose the person to work with. Your voice is reflecting your identity. Like you have a fingerprint, you have your voiceprint. The way you communicate is how you will be known. With your voice and the power of your communication skills, you can easily get through challenging conversations in life. We mostly put off difficult conversations because we are afraid of hurting or getting hurt. Let me give you three simple shifts you can make right now in how you speak and communicate. 1-Communicating in headlines: Many people use too many words before they get to the point. You know people are rolling their eyes and saying, where are you going with this, and what’s your point. Using more words and overexplaining won’t help you become a great speaker. The first thing that comes out of your mouth must be the most important thing you want people to remember. And you follow that up with two or three supporting information. 2- Negotiation. We don’t negotiate because we think that negotiation is a confrontation. And we want everybody to like us. And, so we avoid difficult conversations, particularly when they have to ask for what we want. I remember one of my clients wasn’t happy with his salary, and he was afraid of ruining his relationship with his chief by asking for what he was worth it. I told him not to settle for what he was offered if he thinks he is worth more. We worked on a contrasting technique with him based on data, facts, and figures. After working with him for a few sessions, he was ready to speak with his boss. He said to his boss, “I don’t want you to think that I am not excited about coming to work for you because I absolutely am! At the same time, if I took this offer, I wouldn’t respect myself, and I don’t think you would respect me either. So, I want to talk about how we can bring this up to about 25% that would be consistent with what the market pays, that would reflect my last salary and would make me delighted to come and work for you.” If you wonder what happened to him, he got what he asked for. He didn’t settle for what he didn’t believe in, but he did negotiate and put data, facts, and figures in one place. 3- Don’t let people interrupt you or own your ideas. If someone interrupts you, you need to interrupt the interrupter. You need to be able to say, “Hang on a second! I wasn’t quite finished. If that’s impossible to do. You let them finish, and as soon as they finish, you jump in and say, “You know, let me pick it up where I left off because I wasn’t quite finished. And, if someone steals your idea, what are you gonna do? You have to do it with a straight face. You will let them finish what they are gonna say, and then you say. “Hey, you know, Sally, thanks for expanding on my idea because it made me realize that there were some other things I would like to add. “ Up your game, ladies and gentlemen! Just because you cannot lead successful conversations doesn’t make you any less than all successful speakers out there. It’s learnable! Just don’t get stuck where you are. Your past doesn’t define your future. It is never too late to rewrite your script. I don’t care if you are 20, or 50, or 70; I am continuing to rewrite my script all the time. You define yourself every single day in the way you want to be defined. Up your game! Don’t hustle and wear yourself out with the wrong learning techniques. Don’t waste both your time and money. You can become a great keynote speaker. You can become a wonderful speaker. You can present your ideas with confidence. My clients have proved it over and over again. The frog who didn’t give up!

They kept swimming around to keep from drowning, but after a while, they started getting tired. The inside of the pail was too steep and slippery to climb, and there was nothing to place their feet for traction to get up a good hopping distance. The awful reality dawned on them: they were trapped, and they were dying. One frog kept saying, “This is useless, we should just give up.” But the other frog kept swimming. Unfortunately, the first frog gave up and drowned. The other frog was sad at the loss of his friend, but he refused to give up. He continued to swim. He swam and swam in ridiculous, pointless, futile circles, hoping for a miracle. He kept paddling for a long time without any results. When he was hopeless, his friend’s dying words clutched at his thoughts from time to time, but he was persistent! It never crossed his mind to give up. Finally, something odd happened. He felt something solid. He scrambled up on top of a big lump of butter he had just finished churning. So, the cream turned into butter, and the frog simply hopped out of the pail for freedom. When you find yourself in trouble and see no hope in life, don’t give up. You may want to get more fit, improve the quality of your life, get a promotion, become a great speaker, be more independent, give life to your ideas but see no hope after some time of trying. Keep swimming and the cream will turn into butter, and things will get better! When we feel like giving up, we may just be inches away from the winning line. You have it all. You are ENOUGH!Tap into that power in you.

Knowledge is NOT power

Elephants are smart, emotional, self-aware, and highly social creatures. There is something more. The 5 something tons of hulk can easily walk through walls, move a thousand pounds, and destroy cars and houses. The only way to stop an elephant is by tying a rope to its leg and tying off the other end of the rope to a wooden peg? It’s crazy, right? A wooden peg and a rope are enough to stop the ginormous elephant. It does stop because it is accustomed to the fact that it can’t move anywhere as long as the rope and the peg are around it. When the elephant is very young and just learning to stand and walk, the keeper will tie a rope to the calf’s leg, the baby elephant, and tie off the other end of the rope, a peg or anchor in the ground. The baby elephant will try to walk away, free itself several times without success. Over a period of time, its mind will be programmed to the fact that it can’t roam around when there are a rope and a peg next to it. No matter how huge and powerful the elephant becomes, its programming and belief will limit its potentials. They are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free. We are very much like these elephants, right? We are not aware of the power within us, the power God-breathed in each of us. We allow our limiting beliefs, failures we got growing up, fears and rejections to program us into a life in which we lock ourselves in a cage and not move forward. We lose trust in ourselves, we believe in people who try to establish anchors in our lives that limit our thinking. We easily get controlled by others and lock our potentials. We look up to people and think that we can never be like them. We create false assumptions. We try to talk ourselves out of our burning desires. Like the elephants, we think that “a tiny bump in the road” can control our entire life. If you don’t believe in yourself, who will? I am telling you, you don’t need anybody but you. Stop selling yourself short. Break yourself free. You are not aware of how powerful you are. You can shift everything in your life right now, YES, and change the direction of your life. Stop coming up with excuses, instead, create your resilient life Resume. Free yourself from the peg, self-limitation, and start living a peg free life. No one has the power to stop you but YOU. Now, you may say; “Sevi, I am not creative like someone else. I don’t have genius ideas to implement”. You don’t have now because you have been numbing your creativity, the power in you. But unleash the power, the power that is sitting in you. What will come out will surprise you. Now you decide what you wanna do about your life. Be a victim, a survivor or a thriver.

Knowledge is NOT power

Knowledge is NOT power THERE are two kinds of knowledge. One is general; the other is specialized. One thing you have to know about KNOWLEDGE is that it will not attract abundance, happiness unless it is organized, and intelligently directed, through practical PLANS OF ACTION. Knowledge is NOT power. Knowledge is only potential power. It becomes power only when, and if, it is organized into definite plans of action, and directed to a definite end. You should devour all the knowledge about your specialty which is gonna bring you one foot further than everybody in your field. But, you should put it into action. Because, the knowledge itself is not powerful unless you give it power. This “missing link” leads you to settle for mediocrity. If you don’t know how to ORGANIZE AND USE KNOWLEDGE AFTER YOU ACQUIRE IT, YOU CAN GO TO UNIVERSITY, GET DEGREES, BUT YOU WILL STILL NOT LIVE YOUR LIFE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS. A lot of people are miserable today. Because they study, they do everything to live their lives at a high standard, but they don’t know how to activate the power of their knowledge. They make the mistake of assuming that. The knowledge ends up sitting there in their brain, occupies a lot of space and it gets rusty by time because they are not using it. You can acquire anything you want if you know how to organize knowledge and use it through practical plans. Knowledge has no value unless you give it power. To me, having knowledge but not putting it into use is like having a water tank but suffering from drought. Unless you open the faucet, no water will come out. You know that if you squeeze an orange, orange juice will come out, you have the knowledge, but if you just know it and not put it into action or ask someone else to do it for you, that knowledge will remain in you, and you will look like an encyclopedia left in the bookshelf. The difference between all these genius people you know, you are jealous of, you look up to and you, is not that you are less intelligent than them; you are settling for where you are and not giving life to your knowledge. The reason you are not tapping into your knowledge is probably due to some fear running in the background or some blind spots and blockages you have, but you are not aware of. Some times you can look at some people and say, I AM DEFINITELY BETTER THAN HIM OR HER. Yet if you are not living your life in abundance and prosperity the way that person lives, it’s because that person uses all their knowledge in practice %100 versus you procrastinating or doing a job you hate. It’s time to extract what you know and live your life on your terms. Take what’s in your head and bring it to the world. Use all your knowledge, don’t let it only occupy space in your mind. Use it intelligently. And don’t sell yourself short. Don’t be an underdog. You have it all. Live your life up to your expectations. You have it all. Use it. Otherwise someone else will use YOU.

When you are able to understand the principle and apply it in your life, you start having more of everything, more time, more freedom, more money, more joy in what you do. He hired someone and delegated everything which was not in his “vital few” category. Now everything trivial was off of his table. He picked the crucial %20 and delegated the remaining 80%. He also discovered that the amount of time spent on a high-profit client was pretty much the same amount of time spent on a low-profit client. How many times you find yourself trying to finish up the unvital stuff on your desk to carve out more time for the crucial things. But, you end up using your energy and your focus on the trivial many and have not leftover energy and commitment for the vital ones. The rule for this is: resist the temptation to clear up small things first. If you choose to start your day working on unimportant tasks, it will become your ritual to work on low-value tasks first, and you will never get the real work done. As Robin Sharma states it clearly in his “5 am Club” book – ‘An addiction to distraction is the death of your creative production. This behavior is costing organizations billions of dollars in lost productivity and deficient quality.’ If you are an entrepreneur, you can use the Pareto Principle to maximize the performance, not only of you but of your entire team. Pareto approach helps you to understand which projects are most important, what are the most important goals of your organization, and delegate, or simply drop the rest. It all boils down to your goal to your big picture. Pareto Principle gives you more clarity and guides you on how to prioritize your effective 20%, to stay focused on your strategic plan, and spend less time chasing endless other stuff. And, please don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that the remaining 80% can be simply ignored—it may just require less focus or delegation. See what activities generate the most results and give them your appropriate attention. Once you realize that 80% of your outcomes come from 20% of the time and effort you spend on them, you understand how important is prioritizing and using your time in your genius. With this COVID 19 lockdown period and the new Chapter before us, we can flip the switch on many things in life. This is the time for the reset, reboot. It’s a Brand New life. Right now, instead of freaking out about what’s going on with our businesses or what’s going to happen, it’s time to dig in. It’s time to really make our businesses feel intentional. It’s time to shake it off and figure out what is truly important. I feel like so often we wait until our ship is sinking to figure out what to throw overboard. And, right now with all this going on in the world and we feel like our ship is sinking, and suddenly we’re like ops, “This is not my priority. That is not essential now”. It’s a great time to apply the 80/20 principle. 20% of our actions result in 80% of the impact that we make. So right now, what’s the 20% of your actions that’s really making the biggest impact? Let’s let go of the “trivial many,” and let’s focus on “the vital few” because this is how we do less but have a thriving business that continues to scale and grow. It’s not about doing more it’s doing what’s the smartest. When we spread ourselves insane and try to do everything, we end up feeling like we’ve accomplished nothing. So let’s use this time as our opportunity to realize these things we threw overboard, need to stay overboard, these things in the boat this is what I want to focus on. If you choose to start your day working on unimportant tasks, it will become your ritual to work on low-value tasks first, and you will never get the real work done. As Robin Sharma states it clearly in his “5 am Club” book – ‘An addiction to distraction is the death of your creative production. This behavior is costing organizations billions of dollars in lost productivity and deficient quality.’ If you are an entrepreneur, you can use the Pareto Principle to maximize the performance, not only of you but of your entire team. Pareto approach helps you to understand which projects are most important, what are the most important goals of your organization, and delegate, or simply drop the rest. It all boils down to your goal to your big picture. Pareto Principle gives you more clarity and guides you on how to prioritize your effective 20%, to stay focused on your strategic plan, and spend less time chasing endless other stuff. And, please don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that the remaining 80% can be simply ignored—it may just require less focus or delegation. See what activities generate the most results and give them your appropriate attention. Once you realize that 80% of your outcomes come from 20% of the time and effort you spend on them, you understand how important is prioritizing and using your time in your genius. With this COVID 19 lockdown period and the new Chapter before us, we can flip the switch on many things in life. This is the time for the reset, reboot. It’s a Brand New life. Right now, instead of freaking out about what’s going on with our businesses or what’s going to happen, it’s time to dig in. It’s time to really make our businesses feel intentional. It’s time to shake it off and figure out what is truly important. I feel like so often we wait until our ship is sinking to figure out what to throw overboard. And, right now with all this going on in the world and we feel like our ship is sinking, and suddenly we’re like ops, “This is not my priority. That is not essential now”. It’s a great time to apply the 80/20 principle. 20% of our actions result in 80% of the impact that we make. So right now, what’s the 20% of your actions that’s really making the biggest impact? Let’s let go of the “trivial many,” and let’s focus on “the vital few” because this is how we do less but have a thriving business that continues to scale and grow. It’s not about doing more it’s doing what’s the smartest. When we spread ourselves insane and try to do everything, we end up feeling like we’ve accomplished nothing. So let’s use this time as our opportunity to realize these things we threw overboard, need to stay overboard, these things in the boat this is what I want to focus on. How to apply the Law of Polarity in your life by clearing the Three Blind Spots HOW TO APPLY THE LAW OF POLARITY IN YOUR LIFE BY CLEARING THE THREE BLIND SPOTS Have you heard about “The Law of Polarity.” The law states that there are two sides to everything you can think of. There are two poles, opposites, edges. The difference between the two extremes of one thing is called polarity. The Law of Polarity teaches us that every experience that you perceive as a problem has a solution. Isn’t it great? So, when we are experiencing something wrong, does it mean that we can turn it around? I guess the answer is definitely YES. You can actively change the polarity of what you are experiencing into something else that you desire. Looks clear! But, is it as easy as it’s described? Watch out! I said, “actively.” I will be talking about it later. So let’s break it down a little bit. Imagine you are holding a stick in your hand. It has two edges. And think about what’s lacking, what’s missing, or you are struggling within in your life. Let’s say that everything that doesn’t seem to be working is on the left end of the stick. Visualize it moving to the other end of the stick to the right side. The Law of Polarity clearly states that with the mental focus, we can transform poverty into prosperity, fear into courage, and failure into success. Napoleon Hill, the author of the classic Think and Grow Rich, wrote: “Every adversity, every failure, and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit.” So, let’s go back to its description. There are two sides of polarity that exists within everything we can think of. Everything is dual; everything has poles, everything has its pair of opposites, and the opposites are identical in nature but exist in different degrees. We can transform our thoughts and transform the situation by simply raising our vibration from out of the polarized state. So, Isaac Newton’s law reflects this, too, “Any action has an equal and opposite reaction”. Understanding this, we realize that our negative thoughts or negative actions will lead to the opposite. We feel this. It is like a pendulum swinging back and forth all the time. Imagine that you’re experiencing financial lack due to your limiting beliefs and are trying to attract abundance. What happens is, you will not attract only abundance, you’ll attract the complete package of “financial-lack-to-abundance.” But, if your subconscious emotional vibration is in tune with lack, you’ll end up getting more of the same; lack. What you need to manifest is to pick one polarity and use it consistently. Put a strong intention to it. Buy into the idea that you can do it. In other words, if you’re trying to attract financial abundance, you’ll benefit from correcting the subconscious emotional vibration that determines the energy of your intentions. And to do this, you’ll need to dig in and find and conquer your core limiting beliefs. Aha! That’s the trick, I guess! So, in order to use the Law of Polarity for positive thinking, we need to fill our thoughts and our souls with that, which is positive. It’s not as easy as it sounds, though. I get it. And, when you are just starting to think that you are applying it for your highest good, you may bump into the blind spot. It’s very dangerous! So let’s talk about it because that’s the critical point where everybody seems to get stuck. A blind spot is when all the opportunities are here, the way to do is here, but there is a paradigm going on in your mind, that’s causing you not only not to see what’s here, but it’s causing you to see the opposite. Literally, you stack up the reasons why you can’t. And your mind hyper focuses on those problems, those reasons that become the reality that you are actually in the moment and you don’t know that you are not controlling your thinking. The paradigm is controlling your thinking. There are three cases that can cause us to bump into the blind spot and not get the results we want. The first blind spot: You may fall into the trap of “I know it,” and that’s why you may end up not applying it. Knowing the concept doesn’t mean that you are applying it. You know that if you workout every single day, you will reach your best body shape. You know that! But, unless you do the workout, you will never reach your best shape. What happens is, you may intellectually understand the law. You may have heard it from somewhere else. But, the brain tricks us, as easily as we think we apply everything we know, but in reality, it’s just information in our mind. It’s not active. So how can we understand if we are actively applying the law or it’s just information in our mind? The answer is simple. If you don’t have the result, you’re not aware of how much information you do know can actually get you into the result. Ask yourself, “I know the concept, but do I have the result?” Unless it’s engrained into your knowing and your behavior, you will understand the concept but not apply the law in your life. Look, pass the blind spot. You must quantum lead your results. When you do so, It’s removing the veil off of what you were thinking was the reality and allowing you to see the richness actually there regardless of circumstances. The second blind spot: Watch your subconscious mind, the paradigm! You may have a lot of upbringings from your childhood or past experiences, which may try to talk you out of what you want. We take on the idea that we are not enough unconsciously, and it becomes the foundation of how we think. But we don’t realize that we are not thinking, the paradigm is doing the choosing. You have the ability to choose, but when the paradigm is in control, the paradigm is choosing. You are not choosing. And the paradigm has all the reasons within itself to verify that it’s correct. So, you may visualize yourself having a high profit in your career, but because there is a lot going on in your subconscious and you are not aware of it, you may end up not getting the result you want. Just like a mouse running in the wheel without getting anywhere. There is an effort but brings you nowhere. The paradigm is choosing for you based on what it’s experiencing in any kind of situation or circumstance. Even though you may want to achieve your goals, and the paradigm shows up, that idea of achieving your goal will bring you to the other side of reality. You may have a solid strategy but with the paradigm running in the background, and if anything triggers that paradigm, it will immediately start stating the reasons you can’t do what you want. The excuses are rooted in our subconscious mindset. When you start seeing the manifestation, the progress, you start opening your mind. And it starts to come in more. It doesn’t only expend your confidence, but it allows you to stretch to believe in something much larger than you initially thought you could. And you become more receptive to the information that will enable you to continue to do that. The Law of Polarity says that there are two sides of polarity that exists within everything we can think of. Ok, by now. We know that. You want to use the law for your highest good. You are crystal clear with your objective. You are also aware of the two blind spots and you work on them. You think that “That’s it!” You are good to go. You share your ideas and goals with people, and some try to talk you out of it. Aha! That’s another blockage here! The third Blind Spot is people you are surrounded with. Watch for toxic people who may try to dump their failure onto you or they may be jealous of you, or they may simply be afraid of you failing and try to talk you out of it. Your mind gets overtaken by people who are telling you, you can’t do it, or your internal voice deep down, plays on your emotion of guilt, shame, not being enough, needing other people’s approval or not wanting to have other people reject you. And, when you start listening to that. That voice becomes the dominant voice in your mind. And it’s very easy to become the victim of the dominant voice in your mind because the major suggestion of that voice is “You are in danger.” And if that’s the major suggestion of your voice, it’s constantly talking to that self-preservation part of us, our reptilian brain that’s always on the lookout for danger. When we know and integrate something in our life that allows us to produce the opposite result of what everything is suggesting, even the voice in your own head, you can override that because you have the result. When you have the result over and over in your life, that voice has a tough time actually taking hold and influencing you into not pursuing what you want, not going after your dream. Why should I have resilience when so many suggestions in life are saying that “I can’t.” It won’t work”. Because the Law of Polarity clearly states that everything has an opposite side, and it’s equal to the opposite. Right left Inside out Light dark Lack abundance If you have a problem, the solution is already here. It’s connected to the problem. It’s the opposite side of it. If you don’t have money, the money that you need is already here. If you don’t have an opportunity, the opportunity is already here. The question is, “How can I break through my next level?” You have a strategy. But what’s more significant than that strategy is your thinking behind the strategy. Buy into the idea that you can do it. When you control your thinking and clear all the old rooted paradigm clutter, the junk in your mind, you will become more resilient and resourceful because you will be open and hungry for knowledge and constantly try to outdo yourself. If all goes away, you will have the knowledge integrated into you that will help you make even more than before. The only thing that can screw up your resourcefulness is when something gets into your head, or you think you can’t do it. Let’s change the paradigm. Remove the subconscious blocks in your mind, the blind spots. Everything in the world is in a constant state of change. You can excel even in the worst situations. Know your core values, core purposes. You have the choice of what you want to use your energy for. There is nothing in the power that stops it from becoming whatever you choose to use it for. There is the perception of the outside of us that causes as to stop. No matter what the situation is, you can breakthrough. You have to start with an unwavering desire inside of yourself to lead you to have something. Whatever result you have is the result of how you integrate the concept. No back off! Commit yourself to your decision. Tune into your mind; look for the opportunity. Are you willing to step up and start living a lifestyle you are excited about? If you are struggling with being on hold and although you know the concept, the result states the opposite, you must start working on the clog. I have been there. Our subconscious mind needs a lot of work to get rid of the clutter. Unless you get rid of the three blind spots in your mind, you cannot apply the Law of Polarity in your life. And, when you work on those challenges by yourself, you get one step forward and three steps back. And, you easily get discouraged by the result you have. How to navigate uncertainty during the lockdown Wow! Quite a lot can happen in a month, can’t it? Sometimes, I feel like we are in a time-travel movie and so looking forward to getting back to our real-life, but then I realize that this is real. What we have been going through is all real! A month ago, before the lockdown in Italy, I was working on my projects, minding my own business, planning my week ahead with my clients, booking holidays for summer, working on my upcoming events, traveling, … and the whole world changed. I have been watching how each of us handle this pandemic crisis in different ways. Some are reactive, while others are proactive. Reactive people focus their efforts on the Circle of Concern. They focus on the problems in the environment and worry about circumstances over which they have no control. They feel like victims. They pity themselves. They lie back and wait for rescue. Proactive people, on the other hand, focus on the solutions. They work on the things they can do something about. The nature of their energy is positive. So, there is a huge difference between being reactive and being proactive. Which part of the spectrum do you think you are? Are you reactive or proactive? I am not scared of this virus; I am more afraid of how people chose to react to all this, how our governments decided to respond to all this. When your mind is spilled with fear, you cannot think smart. This all reminded me of the recession of ten years ago. It wasn’t about any threatening health issues, but the economy was at a low level. A lot of businesses died. A lot of people got unemployed. It was a new season to adapt. Some people were smart enough to immediately flip the switch and adapt their business models to the new season. Some were not ready, and they failed miserably. That experience taught us a lot. I don’t know exactly what that is yet, but I trust the case. In terms of money and financials, I personally refuse to go to the place of lack. I refuse to go to the place of what if this cripples my business. I refuse to go to the place there is not enough. Because I don’t believe in any of that, I know that I am resourceful. And, so you are. I know that I have a big mission on this planet. I know that I am put here for a reason. When you know without a doubt what you are meant for, and you know that anything is possible, there is abundance; there is more than enough, then even if you were to lose, you could do it again, you could do it better. When you are at a place of fear, anxiety, or worry, you will not be able to reach your highest self. It won’t allow you to be productive. Trust that this is for your best. This is the place that I am in now. Fear is not just part of the equation for me even with everything going on. Let’s shift our mindset into a place of strength, into the place of abundance, into understanding and knowing that there is always more than enough. What’s gonna happen when something worse comes along? I want you all to think about that. For the next twenty-something minutes, I want you to detach yourself from what is happening in the world right now, all the drama and madness in people. I am inviting you to think about this new chapter we entered in and how indisputable it is that critical thinking is more significant and important than ever. This is a lot to do with going against groupthink we have been seeing in all areas in our lives in businesses, in the media, in our communities, in schools… Everyone should be questioning a lot right now. I am not telling you what to do. I am just saying “filter what you hear what you read and do what is important to you and the people you take care of. We cannot control what’s happening right now, but we can control ourselves. We have to change our perception of the situation. We have to create certainty inside our souls. There are three areas in your private and business life I want you to take a careful look at. Be open to becoming the rule breaker you are likely to be called to be right now. It’s time to think out of the box. Being in lockdown is only a state of mind. You know that you are more than this. There is no limit in your imagination or your power in creativity. Traditional institutions have failed us. We have all witnessed it. There are all sorts of craziness going outside our doors. You really have no choice but become a business rulebreaker for the sake of yourself and your family. I am gonna insist you think beyond survival. If you pay attention to everything going on right now, everyone is in survival mode with this lizzard brain because everyone thinks they are gonna die. You have to keep your head above water. I want you to flip your thinking. How about up-leveling in your life. It may sound crazy if you are trying to interpret what I am asking you from a groupthink perspective. If you can see beyond the fog now, you will be able to connect with your higher self and see the opportunities lay before you. There are things we may consider playing safe in our private lives and businesses, and there are things we should go all-in with full confidence. The time is unprecedented. We don’t know when this all will be over. Especially after what we have experienced in Italy, you know that you may need to be more prepared than you thought you needed to be. You have a great example before you, us, in Italy. It will be a great help if you lower your monthly expenses. Go line by line through your credit card and bank statement and look for services or subscriptions you may not need right now. You might be surprised to see how many subscriptions you have, and you might not be using most of them. It’s a great time to do some audit on your expenses now. You may want to put a pause on expenses you won’t need at this moment. I see some of the banks are helping postpone the mortgage or leasing payments. This is great. Just go for it. Every country has different rescue options. So, just make sure you are informed about all. This is a new season in our lives, a brand-new chapter, fresh-brewed life. It’s a wakeup call, and rather than running away or getting stuck in the middle, we must treasure it, and look out for the hidden opportunities waiting for us to discover. If we operate out of fear, things may get worse and worse. If we become ruthless, a brand-new road before us will gradually start unfolding. We don’t want a victimized mindset right now. You must have had a big wakeup call if your business is all dependent on in-person meetings, live events, or requires traveling. The conventional business model of operations is tumbling down. You’d better consider transitioning your business to virtual. If not all, some parts of your business may still be operated virtually. Maybe it’s time for you to look at some different markets. Think smart and be quick to act on new possibilities. Next, I want you to look at is to see if you put all your eggs in one basket. You may wanna  consider juggling some businesses and invest in different areas. Live your values out loud. Remember who you are and what you stand for. Share your ideas, the decisions you are making right now. It’s so easy to stand out among the crazy crowd right now if you have disruptive ideas. We are drowning in a sea of dull, uninspired content. Everybody is giving tips on working from home or how to cope with this pandemic. I am sick of seeing everybody sharing the same boring stuff over and over again. Use this time to lead your people somewhere important. It may also be taking them somewhere you are venturing right now. Is there somewhere you have been resisting a little bit? Maybe it’s time to be resilient and not to suppress your burning desires. One of my friends in Australia told me that with all this spare time and active mind, he is considering writing a book. Stir up your mind and see what’s sitting there and waiting to be poked. While this may not be a time gaining new clients and new leads, for some of my clients, this tough period has been working really high right now, but for many, you may see some slowing, and that’s ok. What you can do right now, though, which I see people ignoring, is pay a lot of attention to your current clients and followers. Use this time to show them how much they matter to you. Reach out and see what they need, ask how you can help. I am sure they will appreciate that. It’s a tough period, yet at the same time, this abundant timeframe in lockdown is a great opportunity to harness your gifts and work on your new upcoming season. Start journaling to increase your growth mindset and grit. Is there anything right in front of you that you are ignoring or resisting? Do some behind the scene research and planning to get ready for your future. It’s time to be bold to work on what you really want to be doing in this life. Maybe you have been hiding because you are scared of being judged. It’s a great period to invest in ourselves. Knowledge is power. Devour every last knowledge in your industry. We‘ve been in lockdown for a month in Italy now. I like to sit down and kinda observe and really grasp all before I move. It’s been a wild ride with the number of people we have lost so far in Italy. Some people are quick to act in situations like this. But I really want to take all in, think carefully about what I am gonna say, get my wits about, shake all the worry off, and then make my move. Have some space to surrender as there is something new to adapt as our governments bring in further restrictions each and every day. Surround yourself with likeminded people. Look at the networks that can help you right now. I am impressed by how people are stepping up to reach out to each other in this period. Nothing is an accident in life and surely not this one either. We all needed to experience this. I see already how we are connecting worldwide and pulling back together. It has been a great experience for me to work with some thought leaders and watch how each of them come up with different ideas to help people have different perspectives in navigating uncertainty. You may wanna stay far from narrow-minded people. I am planning to host weekly zoom gatherings to help you stay focused on your vision and not fall off the track, which is easy to find yourself pitying as there are a lot of directionless people who are trying to get us in that narrow mindset these days. No matter what right now, make sure you give yourself things to look forward to. The time seems unprecedented. This pandemic is here now, and then it will be gone like everything in our lives. How badly do you want to redesign your life? Did you know that every word that comes out of your mouth literally creates your future? Oh yeah! I can hear you say, “of course I do. I know the secret.” I am not going to talk about the secret, but I will walk you through it. Before we get on board, either opt-out right now or be committed to walking with me. Ok! If you are reading these lines, it means you are on board with me. I am just asking you to unplug yourself for a while and let it be you and me. And, it is not DIFFICULT AT ALL. It just needs some courage. There is no challenge in starting something new. But the real problem is keeping the momentum. Being committed takes a lot of work on ourselves as we can easily get attracted by negative thoughts and comments from people around us. Life is ONE AND REALLY SHORT! A lot of people today get stuck in a rut thinking that the only way they can survive is by doing what they are currently doing. Or having a family pushes you to do what you are doing as you might be the breadwinner of your family. I am not here to ruin your life or push you to unemployment. But I am instead here to whisper in your ears that you CAN live your ideal life and highlight your lifestyle. Here is the trick! Start thinking as if you are already living your ideal life and doing what you love to do. Feel the vibration of the environment you are willing to be in. NEVER! (I don’t like to say this word, but this is really essential) come up with excuses like, “Oh, I want it, but ….” DELETE “BUT” from your vocabulary. Just imagine you are living the ideal life and act accordingly. What I mean is, you might be driving an old car and wishing to have a new one. Start taking great care of your current car as if it is your ideal car. Keep it clean. Take care of it because this is a preparation period for your new car. It WILL NEVER help you thinking of having a new car and maltreating your current car. You must be acting as if you have your new car. The positive vibration will help the universe rearrange everything in the way you want. You might be working in a store as a clerk and hoping to open your own store with your designed clothes one day. Keep your will active. It will happen if you work with your best afford in your current work and be committed to bringing your wish into action. When do you understand if it is the right time to act upon your dreams? When the right time comes, you stop even asking this question. Everything will unfold magically. BUT PLEASE KEEP SPREADING POSITIVE VIBRATIONS. KNOW THAT THE PRESENT MOMENT IS A BRIDGE WHICH WILL BRING YOU TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE! What is in your vision in 2020? Two MAJOR STEPS I took last year, which helped me QUADRUPLE MY INCOME and have MORE SATISFACTION, JOY in what I do, but most importantly HAVE MORE RESPECT FOR MYSELF. Before we get started though, What’s your Vision in 2020? How about in 5 years from now? Where do you see yourself five years down the road? “Your vision of where or who you want to be is the greatest asset you have. Without having a goal, it’s difficult to score.” –Paul Arden Having a vision is being transparent with your path. How clear is your vision? Without vision, you’ll be directionless. You’ll waste loads of time and easily get off the track. You’ll get sucked into distractions. You will be cramming a lot of distractive ideas into your brain. And, as a result, you will get frustrated, overwhelmed, confused, and you will have no purpose. Your belief in yourself and your confidence will slowly start fading away. Your number one vision must be your health! Without a healthy body, without your healthy mind, you can go nowhere. You must have Extreme Focus on your Self-Care I don’t know if you heard about the Million Dollar Racehorse. Imagine you had a million-dollar racehorse, how would you treat that horse? If you did, that horse wouldn’t bring you million dollars. Make sure that you do enough workout. Fitness grows wealth. Adapt good sleep habits. Meditate! Have a powernap time for 5-10 min after lunch. Surround yourself with healthy people. Pamper yourself to holidays. Explore new places. Read high-quality books. Try something new. Spend time with family and loved ones. Rest often. To double your income, triple your growth. Coming to my two major steps which changed the course of my business and life Say “No” to Offers, Opportunities, People that Don’t Meet Your Personal Criteria “The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say No to almost everything.”–Warren Buffett In 2019 my business took off when I started saying “No” to projects which didn’t align with my mission. I had a lot of resistance at the beginning around saying “No,” but once I was clear who I wanted to work with and what businesses I could partner with, things shifted dramatically in my business. I started having more satisfaction in my job, and I felt respected. Rather than scraping the surface of a million different things, I went deep in a few. Most people try to do too much. If you want to be transformational, you’ve got to really invest your time and your energy in your genius and be committed. Go deep, not shallow. Once you are clear on your vision, Share it with the world. At the end of this year, or five years down the road, Where do you want to be by the end of this year? Where do you want to be in five years from now? What does your life look like? What does your typical day look like? What does your environment look like? Who are you surrounded with? What types of clients or people are you working with? What’s your profit? Once you are clear with your vision for the next five years, begin sharing it with EVERYBODY! The magic happens when you share it with others because you and people will begin holding you accountable for it. Hearing yourself say it will cause you to believe it more – Your thoughts should become words, words should become actions, actions habits, and habits your personality and destiny. Repetition is one of the key principles of neuroplasticity. Neurons that fire together wire together. It will help reshape your brain to focus on your vision rather than distractions. We are what we repeatedly do. Small daily improvements, when done consistently over time, lead to great results. Don’t get discouraged if people don’t believe in your vision or try to talk you out of it. Live your truth. Be honest and transparent. Your identity narrative should be based on who you want to become and where you’re going. You need to become emotionally mature enough not to let other people’s opinions or feedback derail your dreams. You’ll begin to repel the wrong people from your life and attract the right people. Start living your life as you already have what you want.

Resistance

Resistance I want to talk about something that paralyzes us, numbs our creativity. Because we become the victim of it, we end up living a lifestyle we are not aligned with. You know what I am talking about, right? Resistance! Resistance is the most toxic force you can ever face in life. When you have a flat tire, no matter how much gas you have in your tank, it won’t help, right? It’s the same with resistance. No matter how big your dream is, no matter how badly you want to achieve something in your life, you won’t reach it unless you fix the flat tire in you. If you’re going after big dreams, you’ve likely encountered some resistance along the way. Feeling this resistance can make you feel confused, inadequate, and even make you want to give up. However, what we often don’t realize is that everyone who goes after a big dream faces resistance. People like Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robbins, Richard Branson, they all feel the fear, but they do it anyway! When you are the victim of your resistance, I know how you struggle between the life you live and the unlived life within you. In this episode, I am not going to share secrets to get rid of your resistance, but I am going to share three core blockages that prevent us from doing what we are wired to do. And if you only clear those blockages, you can step into our higher calling. I promise you will be unstoppable, a fireball. You will have a new way of viewing things in life. I will also share a simple yet powerful trick invented by Mel Robbins, the author of “Five second rule”. 2020 will be your year. The worst thing about the resistance is that it always shows up in the form of protection, safety which makes us believe in it and easily talks us out of our goals. It’s distracting us from our work. You never understand how it sneaks in your mind and corrupts it all. It cripples and disfigures our lives. About a year ago, I realized that things had to change officially in my career. I have been teaching English for over 14 years. I love teaching, but “teaching English” wasn’t my big picture! It was the biggest part of the puzzle, though. Yet, my biggest dream, goal whatever you call it, was being a performance coach, a mentor, motivational speaker, a self-growth writer. I started coaching clients on mastermind coaching five years ago. All of my clients were my students. But, I didn’t change my website, and I didn’t really spread the word about it in a bigger way. I had a lot of test clients, my students. What I was doing was working on the mindset of my students. People who worked with me had visible success in their lives after working together for only a couple of months. It was only word of mouth, but I had great success with people and companies I worked with. I kept having more and more clients with word of mouth. So, it was time to go in a bigger way and have the transformation in my career. I was ready for the transformation in my business. But I was scared to death. Because, my resistance, my ego was trying to talk me out of it. I had built my language coaching brand from scratch, and I was doing really well. So, I was nervous about losing what I built from scratch. I felt that there was a time for me to step up and have the transformation in my career. It was time for me to step into what I was wired to do, helping people live their ideal lifestyle, helping people discover their true, higher calling. Think about the sun! If there is the sun, there will also be a shadow. You come up with a genius idea, and the resistance shows up immediately. They are inseparable, just like the sun and the shadow. But, if you think of the sun, you will know that the sun doesn’t skip its work because of the fear of the shadow. The resistance, on the other hand, easily prevents us from giving life to our ideas. The depression and anxiety are another form of “Resistance.” You know perfectly what you have been putting off in your life because you are the victim of your “resistance,” you chose to entertain yourself and not listen to that wisdom voice, which is crying on the inside of you right now, but it’s speaking the truth. Victims are addicted to entertainment. Leaders are obsessed with getting things done. We have two sides of our brain working simultaneously. We have the limbic side of our brain, which is trying to protect us. Then we have the higher side of our brain, which is always trying to get us in alignment with our purpose. When we start acting from our higher side and notice the opportunities presented to us, but as it is only an opportunity and does not guarantee %100 success, our subconscious part comes in. Our resistance comes in. It states all the reasons you cannot do what you want to do. It’s estimated that 95% of mental behavior is subconscious and automatic. You slowly start talking yourself out. “You are not there yet. What if you lose money? You are the breadwinner of your family. You can’t afford to lose money. What if people make fun of you? What if you get laid off?” All these things will come up, and because it’s the part of your reality, you subconsciously choose the reality part which you feel obliged to respect, and that’s the point which makes you stuck because you cannot see the other side of it. Everything shows up at the exact right time. And that’s what we cannot see. Most people make decisions based on your past experiences, which will never move you forward. Let go of the past. Forgive the unforgiven. Just because you couldn’t do something before doesn’t mean that you can’t do it now. You either win or you learn. What you focus on is what you get – negativity, positivity. Whatever shows up right now, that is the universe saying, “here is the opportunity for you to move forward. Do something right now. Everything is in perfect alignment for you”. Have an excuse detox. Changing your world while changing your life is a process. I had to deal with resistance for a long time in my life. It paralyzed me! But I saved myself from drowning and burying all my ideas. I simply flipped the switch. Blockage 1 Stop feeding your resistance. “Resistance” isn’t powerful on its own. We give the power to it by getting afraid of it. We feed it in our own minds. Think of a candle; the candle doesn’t have any sort of power. It’s made of wax. But when you lit the candle, it gives light. It can even burn a house. It’s the same with resistance. It’s present, but if you don’t feed it, it won’t bother you. Blockage 2 Get rid of toxic people. Your environment is everything. Society brainwashes us. If your cupboards are filled with junk, you cannot expect to have a healthy body. Make sure who you are surrounded with. Stay plugged in. Look up the ladder. Spend time with people who are on the same vortex. Tune into who you are. Throw your whole self at your dream at whatever you do. Do it full-heartedly, not half-heartedly. You cannot take a shower without taking a shower. Refuse to compromise. Blockage 3 Stop focusing on you. It’s not about you. It’s not about you! It’s about them. Switch the focus from you to others. You can’t afford to miss that opportunity! No one like you has never been on planet earth and likely never will be again. Your unique perspective and your unique combination of gifts, your talent and point of view if you have something you want to create or some change you want to make or something you want to do and share with the world, and you hold back from doing it, you are stealing from those who need you most. We all have a purpose, a reason we are here on planet Earth, and that is what it is about. We are not here to let resistance take over our calling! Every individual on the planet has something specific and unique to offer. We are all from the same source, and we all have the capacity to bring light and brilliance into the world. Don’t try to please everybody because you cannot attract everybody. Twenty-five percent of people will never like you no matter what you do. Twenty-five percent of people will not like you but maybe persuaded to. Twenty-five percent of people will like you but maybe persuaded not to. Twenty-five percent of people will like you and will love you no matter what. Don’t waste your time and energy, trying to make someone love you. You are too busy for that; you have other things to do; you have goals and dreams. Don’t invest your energy into trying to convince someone you are worthy but instead invest that energy into yourself. I am here to tell you that you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it, the only thing that can stop you is yourself. Stop doubting yourself. Work hard! make it happen! Believe in yourself! That’s the place you start. You are built to be the hero of your life. Focus on your belief, so it overtakes your fear. All professionals began as amateurs, and every master was once a beginner. Another simple yet powerful trick is “counting down from 5 to 1”. Imagine you are lying in your bed in the morning, the alarm clock goes off, but your brain will try to force you push the snooze button because it’s cozy in your bed and it’s cold outside. As soon as the alarm goes off, count down “five, four, three, two, one” and kick yourself out of bed. You are in a meeting and you struggle mindfulness, your head is with your kids or home, just count down from five to one and “voila!” you are back in the meeting. It works with everything. Keep it small Imagine you are driving from LA to San Diego at night. How Far Can You See When Driving at Night? Can you see the entire road? You can’t. You can only see what the headlights show you. Do you doubt yourself? No! You keep driving, and as you drive, the road before will unfold. Practice on the small things and the big things take care of themselves. We are what we repeatedly do. Small daily improvements when done consistently over time lead to great results. Your days are your life in miniature. It takes 66 days to wire in a new habit. Stage 1 – 22 days – destruction Stage 2 – 22 days – installation Stage 3 – 22 days – integration Our bodies are built to embrace new habits. Be careful; what you say to yourself. The most powerful words in the universe are the words you say to yourself. Your language reflects your beliefs. Talk to yourself with your name. I don’t say, “You can do it!” I say, “You can do it, Sevi!” Self-talk reinforces your aspect of being. Don’t put off doing whatever it takes to express your natural genius. Live in a way that feels true to you and pay attention to the small miracles every day. The quality of your life is about the decision you make. A real burning desire unlocks the door. Are you clear on your why and your mission? What decision, obstacle needs to be moved in order for you to thrive? And, listen, I get it. It’s not easy to work on your resistance by yourself. You go one step forward, three steps backward. You get discouraged and easily give up. I had to work with three different experts to get rid of my resistance.
