STFU Show

Every now and again a situation presents itself and magic happens. This isn’t one of those times. BUT Rick is joined by original STFU C0-host jessica drake, and she breaks away from her busy schedule to Skype a show. And because it’s Skype, the sound is less than perfect, and the call was dropped, and the video slowed down the connection and…I could go on, but why not just listen? Rick and jessica talk about the Oscars, meaning the awards show and the Olympic runner who shot his girlfriend. They also chat up Adele, Chris Dorner, and Rick presents his new “Assistant”, who is also named jessica drake. Great fun! If you listen to the Mayans, this is the final STFU Show ever. If you listen to jd and Rick, it’s just the last show for 2012. Rick is back from his holiday in TN, jessica is still in the snowy Great White North. Rick goes through a few gripes about Starbucks (surprise) and how a store at Barnes & Noble refused to honor his birthday drink. He also shares that he peered down a mentally challenged woman’s blouse. It didn’t get the reaction from jessica he thought it would. During the show Rick also talks about how Ma Bailey didn’t throw out anything from his youth, as proven by the slideshow here. jd does say that holidays in Canada are a little more festive compared to LA. Lastly, the duo talk briefly about the tragedy in CT. Here is the CNN link to what is required before gun ownership in Japan, where there were 11 deaths from guns last year. Our hosts are back (sort of). jessica is still away, but takes time out to do a new STFU Show via Skype. She quickly recaps her last 3 weeks (a movie and a trip to Haiti), then they get on to the matters at hand. jd sends her condolences on the massive oversight in the AVN Best Actor Non-Sex category, of which Rick isn’t included. In true Christmas fashion, jessica relates that Big has some intestinal problems on the road. Rick brings up one of his favorite films, It’s A Wonderful Life, and why he has a couple of problems with it. Of course, jessica hasn’t seen it. Then the two talk a little bit about Christmas music. The Tuesday STFU Show once again features the phenomenal Kylie Ireland sitting in, listening to Rick’s many rants, and tossing in her own observations along the way.  STFU 166

jessica is still away, so Rick has mutual friend Kylie Ireland sitting in. Kylie mentions that Rick didn’t have any rants the last time. He makes up for it. Rick starts by taking on his own people, the Cherokees and Indians in general. Seems they have had two protests in a little over three weeks. This leads to a discussion over what is truly hurtful and which protests are “just for show”.  STFU 165 Notice to listeners: This show is less than PC, but absolutely no offense was aimed at any particular groups. In this 2nd show sans jessica drake (shooting her new MMA feature), Rick brings in an LA mover and personal friend, Verena King of Verena King PR. She tells her story of how she became owner of a public relations agency, and what’s on her iPod as she drives between LA and Las Vegas. Rick also joins her in a discussion of how a publicist would handle someone like Lindsay Lohan. Good show. STFU 164

While jessica is off on an ass-kicking (literally) shoot, Rick ventures ahead for the 1st STFU Show ever recorded in studio. But he isn’t alone. He’s invited a great mutual friend along, Kylie Ireland. They discuss her early days as well as what she’s involved in today…street art with her hubby (view here) Later, Kylie’s husband Andy Appleton is invited in to explain the unique way they met.
