There are lots of different reasons why a person might move to a new country. They might move for an awesome opportunity to do something cool in a new place. They might move to a new country to experience a new culture. If they live in a country which is unsafe, they might be a refugee and start a new life in a new country which is safer. That’s an important reason to move to a new country. Come Home Ella Today’s story is about premature babies.  About Come Home Ella: My baby sister couldn’t wait to see the world. That’s why she came so early. Some people identify as a girl, some people identify as a boy and some people are both or neither. Today’s Story Surprise is called Betwixt. Gene isn’t a second-best boy or a second-best girl. They’re just Gene! Gene joins a new school and makes new friends who learn to accept Gene for who they are!   This is the perfect story time resource for initiating conversations about gender with your kids! Scott Stuart wrote this story when he was forced to confront his own thoughts on gender stereotypes when his three-year-old son developed a love for Elsa from Frozen. Dad isn’t feeling good today. He has a shadow which follows him around sometimes leaving very few days for the sun to shine. All of us may be visited by a dark shadow at one stage or another. At the start of today’s story, Pip is greedy and wasteful with watermelon, but by the end, she learns to share it with her friends and family!
