Episode 10: Baillie Bordner

In this episode, I chatted with my real-life, long time friend Baillie. We were in each other’s weddings, worked at the same place, and currently do ministry together. Baillie and I talk about how life and how parenting especially can uproot your expectations and give you things you didn’t know you needed. She also shares about her parents and the way they changed the legacy for Baillie and her brothers. We could’ve talked for hours and hours, but I promise, what we do get to talk about is so good. I am so excited to bring along more people from my own life. I truly believe that there is so much power in our stories, and I am honored to give a platform for women to declare where they are and how they got there, and I’m grateful for you to listen.

Episode 9: Sarah Rieke

My sweet friend (and fellow podcaster!) Sarah Rieke was on the podcast this week, and my gracious, is she gracious. She shares her story of great blessing as well as great loss. She has two sweet babies on the earth and two in heaven, and she walks us through what that’s looked like in the past six years. It was a true honor to have Sarah share, as I’ve been following her story for years now. I’m consistently encouraged by the way she continues to pursue Jesus and have a gentle, sweet spirit. I’m thankful for her friendship in my life, and I’m excited to share her with you guys! As always, you can find the show notes and any links mentioned at sarahannonline.com

Episode 8: Mackenzie Byersdorf

Mackenzie Byersdorf from Pint-Sized Mama + Thrive Moms is one of my favorite people ever. For real, I mean. She’s such an encouragement in my daily life, and I couldn’t wait to have her on the podcast. We talked about all sorts of things, my favorites being The Office, counseling, and prayer journals. But ya’ll, there’s so much more there. Mackenzie is so very honest and self-aware, and she shares her heart super easily. I hope you’re as encouraged as I am every. time. we. talk. (Including this time, of course.) All of the show notes can be found at sarahannonline.com

Episode 7: Trina McNeilly (lalalovely)

I wanted to interview Trina just because she has the most beautiful family and writes the most beautiful words. She makes everyday life seem charming and (not ironically) lovely. But talking to her on this episode was even more than I could’ve asked for. We talked about how her life was turned a little topsy-turvy in the last five years, and she shares about her heart for home and family coming out of this tough season. She talks about teaching her kids how God is their ultimate identity because of the road she’s walked and the ways she’s found herself in Him. And this verse from The Message that Trina references, I’m still chewing on it – If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath. –Psalm 34:18 As always, you can find all the show notes at sarahannonline.com

Episode 6: Joye Dicharry

Since interviewing Joye for this episode, I have referenced her wisdom and her parenting thoughts and her patience in ministry multiple times in real life conversation. Just talking to her for an hour was such a blessing. We covered homeschooling, strong-willed kids, and waiting on the Lord to fulfill her family’s dream of moving to the mission field full-time. If you’ve ever had a dream from God that hasn’t come to pass, listening to Joye will certainly encourage you. Also! As a mom of a strong-willed son, I am so thankful to have heard her heart for her strongest-willed son. Each time I do this, I’m just more grateful. These women, y’all. They’re blessings to chat with and listen to. SHOW NOTES here.

Episode 5: Ashley Abramson

I got to interview my friend Ashley Abramson, writer and writing coach extraordinaire (this makes her sound super fancy but hey that’s fine). I can’t wait for you guys to hear her story because she crafts some of the most beautiful words I’ve read or heard. She talks about the shift in her life from hustling to sitting more still, and her heart is just gorgeous. Show notes at sarahannonline.com

Episode 4: Austin Kapur

In this episode, I interview Austin Kapur. She runs a PR firm called Plum & Parcel for social enterprises and do-good businesses (seriously, that is so cool). We chat all about that, about supporting purposeful, intentional companies, something super close to my heart. She shares some of her favorite businesses that you should definitely look into. We also talk about her love for travel and barre classes.  Austin is super sweet, and you’re just going to want to grab a coffee and be her friend. Episode 3: Megan Burns

In this episode, I got to talk with Megan Burns, founder of She Does Justice. She shared the story of how God started this ministry as an adoption fundraiser and where it is now. Her heart for women to live passionately and pursue justice and mercy right where they are is contagious. We also talk about her family, her struggles, and her pursuit of a life on purpose.  Grab a coffee and settle in for some encouragement and real talk from Megan Burns. In this episode, Sarah talks with April Knight (AKA Worship Artist and #scripturedoodle creator) about her family’s recent move to plant a church in NC, about April’s saying yes as God moves her ministry in new directions, and about April’s new projects (so many great things happening, I can’t even list them here)!
