Jon Snow Cosplay
On this episode of Cosplay Connection, I meet with Rudy and Xasha of Jon Snow Cosplay. They are a California based cosplayer team that cosplay as Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones. The most amazing thing about these two cosplayers is not only do they dress up together, they alsp date each other. This is our first couple interview ever for the Cosplay Connection.
Here is my interview with Rudy and Xasha about their cosplay, their love of Game of Thrones, and much more!
About Jon Snow Cosplay
Rudy introduced his first Jon Snow cosplay at New York Comic-Con 2012. This was his Night’s Watch Jon Snow. He is constantly improving his costumes to make them better before he attends a convention. He cosplays other characters such as Trunks from Dragon Ball and Anakin Skywalker, but he admits that his Jon Snow costume will always be his favorite.
Xasha met Rudy shortly after he moved to California. She fell in love with not only him but with the craft of cosplay. She currently has one costume but will be putting together new costumes very soon.
Rudy, Xasha, and with the help of Rudy’s mother have become cosplay team. They all put in tremendous effort to create some of the most amazing costumes you have seen.

Season 2 Episode 3: Kimchi Kosplay
Episode in
Temple of Geek's Cosplay Connection
Kimchi Kosplay
On this episode of Cosplay Connection, I meet with Jessica Osborne of Kimchi Kosplay. She is a Texas based cosplayer that has some pretty amazing creations. I was first introduced to her when I saw this really awesome gender-bend cosplay of Han Solo on Instagram. I had a blast speaking with her and getting to learn more about her. If you run into her at a convention, make sure you go up and say hi!
Here is my interview with Jessica about her costumes, her love of Korean food, and much more!
About Jessica Osborne
Jessica has mentioned that her favorite cosplay is her Han Solo and her DVA costumes. She was introduced to cosplay from her friend who was a cosplayer herself. She always enjoyed theater and getting to wear all the different costumes, so cosplay was a natural fit. Some of her fandoms are Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Doctor Who, Super Natural, Harry Potter and Stranger Things.
Her inspiration for her cosplay comes from artists, other cosplayers, and doodles that she does herself. Jessica is an amazing cosplayer that loves the craft. She loves having a vision and making it happen. She states “I’m one of those people that have so many ideas and not all of them can happen. So it is so rewarding to see a picture of everything you envisioned. Creativity, meeting amazing people, the continuous learning-you never know everything!”
Jessica also enjoys the reactions she gets at conventions. She says ” The cons, becoming a character you love. Oh! And seeing the reactions of other people who love that character! It’s the best feeling in the world when someone sees you and just lights up! I can’t even explain how happy that gets me!” Check out some of the amazing cosplay in the photos below.

She takes time and care when creating her costumes to make sure that they are accurate as possible. She does all her own metal work but seeks help for leather from time to time. Her next costumes that she is creating is Black Canary from Injustice 2 and the “yellow and black” version from the comics. If her name did not give it away, she loves cats. She wants cosplayers to know how important it is to be able to fall in love with a character and cosplay as that character no matter your shape, size, gender or ethnicity. Below are just some of the cosplay that Kat has done over the years.

Episode in
Temple of Geek's Cosplay Connection
In this episode of Cosplay Connection, I sat down with Jake Korupp of Koruption Kosplay via Google Hangouts to discuss his cosplay origin story and the creativity and work that goes into each of his cosplays.
I first met Jake when he and I worked together in Fantasyland Attractions at the Disneyland Resort in California several years ago. I didn’t know Jake was a cosplayer until I saw his very impressive and authentic Starlord cosplay at Long Beach Comic Expo.
Jake’s cosplays are spectacular. He is very meticulous when it comes to each element. He wants each of his cosplays to be as authentic as possible and I have to say they are carbon copies of the originals! His work is flawless!
Since the recording of the above interview, Jake has updated his Spiderman cosplay and it looks damn good.

I highly encourage everyone to check out Koruption Kosplay on Facebook & Instagram (@korupp). He’s a super cool dude!
Lastly, I would like to thank Jake for taking the time to meet with me to discuss his cosplays. Hopefully I will run into at Disneyland sometime.

Episode 3 - Lonstermash
Episode in
Temple of Geek's Cosplay Connection
In this episode of Cosplay Connection, I got the opportunity to sit down with Lonstermash to get his cosplay origin story and what he has been up to since he started cosplaying.
I first saw Lonstermash at this years D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA. He was attracting quite a bit of attention with is Logan/Gaston Mash-Up or LOGON as he calls it. I mean that is pretty amazing and quite the attention grabber. And just damn cool and imaginative.
Photo Provided by: Lonstermash
I officially met Lonstermash at NerdCon 2015 in Escondido, CA. He was cosplaying as Logan that day. His claws are spectacular and it is just uncanny how much he resembles Hugh Jackman’s Logan “Wolverine.” And I could not resist taking a photo of him and later reaching out for the above interview.
Post-interview, Lonstermash told me that some of his cosplays require some very impressive make-up work and he does it all himself. He said it takes him several hours to make the make-up look perfect and it is beyond extraordinary. I mean it LOOKS REAL!!!!! The man is seriously talented. Also the muscles… all him. Just saying.
I highly encourage everyone to check him out on social media: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram
Also check out Agents of Cosplay on Facebook, which is a community that Lonstermash is a part of. Agents of Cosplay had a booth this past weekend at Stan Lee’s Comikaze, which gave a make-up demo for Halloween.
Lonstermash is also involved with a non-profit organization called Kids Can Cosplay, check out their Facebook page for more info about this organization and how you can get involved. Kids Can Cosplay is also hosting a Christmas Toy Giveaway on December 19th in Anaheim, CA. For more information on this event please check out their Facebook Event page.
Lastly, I just want to thank Lonstermash once again for taking the time to sit down and chat with me about all his amazing cosplays. It was a pleasure getting to chat with you and catching up this past weekend at Stan Lee’s Comikaze.
