The 100 Film Redemption

Better late than never, right? At long last here is the final episode of the show. We analyze the movie list with some fun categories, such as our favorites, movies we didn't click with, and a few others. Way back in Episode 001, we each talked about our favorite movies at the time. Since so much time has passed, we decided to make new favorites lists and see what has changed, and if our little podcast had any impact.  Lastly, we get mushy and reflect on the show, our friendship, and what we've been watching over the last few years.  If you've ever listened to this show, thank you for doing so. I appreciate you spending your time with us, and I hope you had fun along the way.  Watch more movies!  Breaking Down the List - 3:36 Personal Favorites Update - 53:09 Looking Back - 1:25:55 Produced by Andrew Padula

We have officially reached the final film on our list! This was chosen as our finale because, as you probably already know, people absolutely LOVE The Shawshank Redemption. More than any other movie on this list, Shawshank always elicited the strongest reaction when people found out I'd never seen it. At long last, those days are now behind me. Our penultimate film, as well as our penultimate Stephen King adaptation, The Green Mile has a lot riding on it as one of our anchor films in this final stretch. It's the origin of the "magical negro" plot device, with a star-studded cast, a talented mouse, and a whole lot of nonsense. We also discuss Mare of Easttown, Steel Magnolias, and Inside! Recently Watched - 1:24 The Green Mile - 25:42 Produced by Andrew Padula

This entry on our list is similar to Citizen Kane, in that it's not really a movie that's recommended as often these days, but deserves its spot due to its impact. On the Waterfront is one of the most celebrated American films. It's a movie filled with subtle performances that contains one of the most potent and impassioned rallying cries for workers' rights that still rings true today. We also discuss Mulan (2020), Now Voyager, and more! Recently Watched - 1:16 On the Waterfront - 34:55 Produced by Andrew Padula

Caddyshack is a weird movie. Half a coming-of-age story, half sketch comedy, plus there's a dancing gopher; none of it should work, but it does. It shows its age every now and again, but against all odds, Caddyshack's screwball comedy gets it across the finish line. We also discuss Judas and the Black Messiah, the South Park Vaccination Special, and more! Recently Watched - 1:20 Judas and the Black Messiah - 30:39 South Park Vaccination Special - 41:19 Caddyshack - 47:25 Happy Gilmore - 1:20:56 Produced by Andrew Padula

Endlessly quoted, parodied to death, and still a beloved cult classic, there was no version of our list that didn't include Brian De Palma's Scarface.
