She reviews the ASC Quality Reporting program with us and shares her gratitude that CMS seems to finally be listening to industry feedback. She offers tips to ASC practice administrators in staying up to date with reporting requirements and encourages them to connect with other like-minded medical groups in their community and region.

Sue has more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare information technology management. She has achieved Fellow status with both HIMSS and CHIME. She is currently serving on the board and executive committee of AAMI and the CHIME Education Foundation Board.
In her own words, “So much has changed since I first took up this work. My first management assignment was managing personal computers as they first entered our environment. Some of the first people I managed are now leaders in the field.
One of my passions is the development of the next generation of IT leaders, especially young people who are beginning their careers or who are beginning to take on leadership roles. I’ve been there: a young mother of two with a full-time management job while a part-time graduate student. I remember the years when I was the only woman at the leadership table.”
