Cycle Syncing Creativity

Have you noticed that your creativity just isn’t the same every day? And if you push yourself, it actually gets harder and harder to create from a place of ease? I’m going to let you in on a little secret: the trick for effortless creativity is to sync up your work with your feminine cycle. You get to dance with your natural energy fluctuations (instead of fighting them), accomplish all you need to and avoid serious burn out. In this episode we talk about what creative tasks to do in each of your four phases. It’s a short one, but a good one. Grab a journal or get your notes app ready - you’re going to want to jot some things down. Be sure to follow along on social @theanythinglgowspodcast and @brittanysodoraleonor. Yoga And Your Hormones: Part III

It’s time to flip the negative script on having a period.  Welcome to part three of our Yoga + Your Hormones series. Today’s episode is all about truly embracing our feminine nature. We cover five practices of: 1_Nurturing yourself 2_Trusting your intuition  3_Connecting emotionally 4_Welcoming pleasure 5_Acknowledging your cyclical nature And to really embody #5, we dive into cycle syncing, which is the practice of eating, behaving and moving in ways that support the specific hormonal ratios and brain chemistry during each phase of your cycle. If you’re a visual learner I have a cycle syncing chart on my blog here and a downloadable mini guide if you prefer something aesthetic here. Yoga And Your Hormones: Part II

If you’re looking for holistic ways to care for your hormones, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome to part two of our Yoga + Your Hormones series. This week we’re getting a little crash course into Ayurveda which seeks to balance the subtle body in order to heal the physical body. There are three energetic essences that make up the subtle body: prana, ojas and tejas and they are closely tied with hormones. We’ll go over a number of ways yoga can help to increase these building blocks along with these four major wellness principles to support the hormones: 1_Stabalize blood sugar 2_Nuture your adrenals 3_Support pathways of elimination 4_Be mindful of endocrine disruptors And to help you on point number 4, I’ve put together an exhaustive guide of all the household, personal and beauty products I’ve tried and loved that are hormone-friendly. Give it a read here. Tune in next week for a chat on two of my favorite topics for hormonal support: embracing your feminine energy and cycle syncing. Yoga And Your Hormones: Part I

How much do you know about your menstrual cycle? I’ll admit, that as a grown woman in her 30’s who’s been getting her period for over 25 years, I didn’t know much until just a few years ago. It seems wild, but think about it: we’re not really taught these details. Instead, we’re shaped to believe that our period is a curse, we’re at the mercy of our hormones and there’s nothing we can do about it but suffer through.  This could not be further from the truth. Join me as we kick off a little series entitled Yoga + Your Hormones. In this episode I share some of my personal struggles (you’ll probably relate), a mini hormone explainer (they’re responsible for more than you think) and why yoga is such a good lens through which to view hormonal health. If you have specific questions you want me to cover in this series, DM me @theanythingglowspodcast. We’ll be talking about yoga principles and practices, some Ayurvedic wisdom and then cycle syncing and other practical ways we can nurture our hormones. Debunking 8 Yoga Myths

"You think you know ... but you have no idea." Yes, we're using an old MTV reference for today's episode. As someone who's been teaching yoga for the last few years and practicing for over 20, I've heard a lot of hot takes about yoga - what it is, who it's for and how it could be useful to one’s life. We cover 8 of the most common assumptions I’ve heard about yoga in general, the asana or physical practice, meditation and pranayama. Did we hit the big ones? Anything I’m missing? If you have a juicy myth to debunk, slide into the DMs at @theanythinglgowspodcast. If you’re inspired by assumption #2, sign up for the Sage Glow Studio newsletter here to get your free, 4 minute meditation. Why Meditate When Everything Falls Apart?

In today’s episode, we’re diving into one of those juicy, big picture topics I told you we’d be tackling. This one is about the true purpose of wellness and its role in your life during really challenging or traumatic times. We’ll go over three pillar practices and include a quick exercise to help you determine where your intuition lies in your body. If this episode inspired you to give yoga a try, I’d love to journey with you. You can book a yoga or mindfulness session or purchase a custom meditation. Any of these three options are great if you’re currently going through a difficult season and want to see how these practices can be applied in your own life. I Wasn't Supposed To Be A Yoga Teacher

In today’s very first episode, we’re going to jump right into storytime and it’s gonna get vulnerable. Since yoga is going to be a pillar topic, it’s only fair that you know how I got into it in the first place. And spoiler alert: becoming a yoga teacher wasn’t even a goal of mine.
