The Art Investor

In every episode of this podcast we will be referring to numbered pieces as we talk. Episode 6 is with Oda Tungodden. We sit down in Oda's studio for a long, in-depth discussion about art and being an artist, and then go on to discuss some of her her pieces, right up to what she's working on now. Prerequisites: Klimt, Delacroix, Humour, Gin (and tonic if you really need it). Around 47:50 we start discussing the pieces. Episode 5 is with Michael Beckurts. We recorded this episode in The Test Kitchen surrounded by some of Michael’s pieces that are currently on show there. Join us for an in-depth exploration of Mike’s background and work. He then went on to study at The Animation School in 2006. He also went on to win The Best Concept Characters Prize during his time there. Gabrielle Raaff lives and works in Cape Town and graduated with a BFA (HDE) from Stellenbosch University in 1992. Gabby's works begin with a photographic image as a springboard. She works with ethereality, using the media of ink, water colour and water-based oil as a vehicle for alluding to the form, the function and the emotion of her subject. Gabby has had five solo shows and exhibited extensively both locally and abroad. In every episode of this podcast we will be referring to numbered pieces as we talk.
