What to do in your first 30 days as a coach.

If you’re thinking of becoming a coach, or you already are and you’re wondering what to do next, here’s a list of best practices to get you started. If you have questions, feel free to ask. If you’re interested in coaching, feel free to reach out. I’m here to support you and help you on your journey! Sign up!! Whether or not you’ve identified your sponsoring coach you can sign up anytime. If you want to join my team, you can do so right here. Have a conversation with your sponsor (that’s the person you’ve signed up with). If it’s me, just reach out and we will set up a call to get you started. Once you have your coach ID emailed to you, put it somewhere where you can access it easily. I like to use Evernote to store information about my business. Get to know the back office! Team beach body offers so much support and tools for new coaches, from marketing materials to info on how to run a successful challenge group as well as free access to Success magazine and more. The sooner you start to understand the back office, the faster you’ll be off to the races. Start working out daily and drinking shakeology. You want to be a product of the product from day one!! I didn’t start this business in my best shape, but I’m pretty happy with where I am now! This business will be the accountability you need to stay on track with your own healthy journey! Share your journey from day 1. Show pics of what you’re eating. Review the workouts, talk about how you’re feeling, how your energy is improved or you’re sleeping better. It doesn’t have to be specifically about the products, but share how you’re improving, daily! Plug into a getting started training. I offer a comprehensive program to all my new coaches, so make sure you’re signing up with someone who is prepared to get you started on the right foot! Get your mindset right! If you’re feeling apprehensive or scared, you’re not alone, but you need to work through those fears if you want to be a success in this business. If you need support, that’s what your sponsor coach if for. Reach out and get the help you need! Start a notebook for all your training tips, plans, ideas, notes and more. It’s good to keep it all in one place. If you’re more of a digital person, just keep everything in a folder on Evernote or Google Docs. Create your list of 100 people that you know (a little or a lot) that would benefit from joining a challenge group or joining the business. You don’t have to contact them all tomorrow, but you do want to start reaching out to them individually as soon as you start (we recommend talking to 3 people a day about beach body). Schedule your first challenge group! Have something to invite your warm market to. If you’re not comfortable with the idea of running a challenge group yet, you can leverage mine for the first few months until you get the hang of things. So you can invite your peeps to my groups, and you get to keep the commission! Get a general understanding of most of the workouts so you can talk to people about them. Which require equipment, which don’t. Which are high impact, which aren’t. If people have injuries or limitations, you don’t want to sell them the wrong program. If I’m your coach, you can ask me any time about the best workout for specific audiences. Start building a list of your personal links to challenge packs. That will make it easy to provide those links to people when your clients are ready to buy!! Have them handy in your Evernote file. That way you can have it on your computer and your phone. Select a system for tracking your potential customers and follow ups! I like to use Asana App. It’s really handy for all my daily to-dos. Aim to reach Success club 5 or 10 from your first month. There are TONS of incentives for doing this every month (including free trips to the Caribbean and free access to our yearly conference), so aim to never miss a month of Success Club. **Note that even though there are incentives to hit Success Club (or “SC” as we call it), there’s never any pressure to do so. Everything in this business is done at your pace. Aim to hit Emerald status in your first month. Basically, that means you should get your two closest peeps to sign up with you (or under you). Perhaps your mom and sister, or your husband and best friend. That will give you the momentum and boost you need to really get rolling. You are then eligible for team bonuses and also free leads from the company! So those are just a few things to get you started. I wish I had this list when I first joined the company. Please note, you’re never expected to do any of this, but if you’re gangbusters about the business, these are the best things you can do to create immediate success for yourself Got questions? This one is inspired by one of my mentors.  She spoke about authenticity and drawing a line in the sand that illustrates what you stand for, and what you don’t.   Takeaway - list the things that you stand for. Ten of them.  Then list 10 things you stand in opposition of.  Don’t be a jerk about it, but be unapologetic.   This is your brand - now be consistent. To Dream Again

If you’re going to be a successful coach, you can’t be a victim.

Coaching is about leadership.  About blazing a path for what’s possible and demonstrating how to overcome challenges and setbacks in a meaningful way.   We ALL struggle to reach our goals.  We ALL encounter setbacks, rejection and the occasional poop sandwich.   This is life. Creative Ways to Run Challenge Groups

I’ve made it my personal goal to create the BEST challenge group experience within the beachbody brand.  I’m bringing everything I have to these experiences to make them world-class.  I also invite my personally sponsored coaches to leverage my challenge groups for their clients until they are ready to do their own. That means, all my sponsors have to do is bring people in, and I’ll do the heavy lifting (but they still need to participate and help out). That’s what I do to stand out.  In this podcast I brainstorm additional ways for people to bring unique value to the challenge group experience.  Everything from hair and make up to fashion and mindset is fair game.  Remember, the nutrition and workouts are done for you, so all you have to do is bring in the accountability piece (but make it FUN!).
