As the Law passed from the angels to Moses, so too does our author as he takes focus on the supremacy of Jesus over Moses, the prophet. The exodus, law and tabernacle, which will become central themes for the book, all began through what God did with Moses. Could Jesus be greater then him?

The author begins the book by focussing us on Jesus and showing his superiority to Angels. The belief that the Law was passed to Moses by angels begins the journey of seeing Jesus as the climax of the whole Exodus narrative.

In the final episode of this series we complete the journey through the 7 signs that John has laid out. Jesus lays down his life as the Passover lamb, creation is complete as God rests on the seventh day and Jesus rises triumphantly into a new week, a new world! May you believe and find life in his name. 

We focus on Jesus' incredibly intimate and powerful last moments with his disciples. While the darkness gathers in the background, Jesus pauses, teaches and prays. He knows he is about to depart and lovingly prays for his disciples and even for us. 

As Jesus enters Jerusalem for our final Passover he is met with celebration and betrayal, even from within his own disciples. John's account of the Passover begins with the act of washing the disciples feet. He has come to serve in ways that they do not yet understand, even to those who are betraying him. 

Jesus hears the tragic news that his dear friend Lazarus is sick. The situation has become so hostile towards Jesus around Jerusalem that he knows  he will be risking his life  in order to save Lazarus'. Our 6th sign will draw us ever closer to moment when God will truly lay down his life in order to raise us from the dead. 

Our journey continues through the next few signs as Jesus feeds the multitude in the wilderness at Passover, begins the great I am statements of the Gospel. Trouble continues to brew and, in this part fo the book, culminates in the showdown between Jesus and the religious leaders who are sadly so far from receiving him.

John continues our journey with Jesus as we move through the lands of Samaria where he meets the woman at the well, heals a man on the Sabbath and continues to cause controversy. Some seek more miraculous signs from him while others believe his words.

The story of Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding at Cana is a well told narrative, but why did he do it? Does it have any bearing on the rest of the book or was it just a random miracle? If it is indeed the first sign" then what is the sign pointing to?  In Episode 4 we explore all these questions and more as we examine the first sign and it's surrounding teachings.

In Episode 3 we shine the spotlight on John the Baptist and his ministry.  He knows who he is and he knows who Jesus is and that creates an incredible humility to celebrate when people stop following him and follow Jesus. "He must increase, but I must decrease" 

In Episode 2 we explore the prologue to the Gospel.  John draws us back to the creation narrative of Genesis 1, the story of the Exodus and the Prophets all now being fulfilled as the Word becomes flesh, as God's light shines in the darkness.

In the first episode of the second series we explore the background to the Gospel according to John and journey with our author through his life and how he wrote and structured this incredible Gospel. 

In the final episode of the first series "The Story of Scripture" we explore the final book of the Bible, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ". A book that is often fearfully avoided and rarely understood. As we conclude our story we will see the reality of Christ's victory and the restoration of all creation. Through the Lamb's victory dealt is done away with and all evil is gone. The tree of life returns as we witness God's glorious redemption of all things and his dwelling place with us, forever. 

This Episode we journey from the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit falls upon the disciples, through the book of Acts as Paul takes centre stage as he is called to carry the Gospel into the Gentile world. God's presence is again dwelling among his people. 

In Episode 10 we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. God has not only conquered sin but now demonstrates that he has also defeated death itself. No longer does death hold any power over those who are found in Jesus. As Jesus rises from the dead, there is hope that not even death can separate us from God. 

In our 9th episode we take a look at the final week of Jesus' life. The full story of scripture coming to its glorious climax as Jesus is crowned King of the Jews. In the midst of betrayal, suffering and death, he is winning the victory over Sin and Death in a way that no-one expected. The true Passover Lamb is here!

In Episode 8 we begin our three episode journey into the Gospels. The Birth and Ministry of Jesus take centre stage as God has become flesh and dwelt among us!
