The Bible Study Club

In this study we are examining Galatians Chapter 4. The Galatians came out of a culture that was steeped with idolatry so the things associated with idolatry were very familiar to them.  Because of the familiarity of the culture it would be easy for someone to try to mix the traditions of the culture in with the message of the gospel. If you are not careful we can allow the culture to invade/influence the church instead of the church invading/influencing the culture.   Sometimes the things we use to identify as church are not steeped in biblical truth but fall into denominational traditions. If you are not careful you can become enslaved by the tradition. Live by Law or Live by Faith? | Bible Study with Clarence L. In this study Lessons in Confrontation | Bible Study with Clarence L. Haynes Jr., we will examine what the bible says about confronting a leader if they are in the wrong.  The question of "What do you do when the leader is wrong, is not unheard of. In fact many brothers and sisters struggle with many of these situations in the church. Christians are not immune to conflicts.  As we continue our study of the book of Galatians, we look at Chapter 2:9-15 (NIV). Paul has to confront Cephas (Peter) about his behavior, which demonstrates hypocrisy. The Gospel: What it is and What it Isn't | with Clarence L. Haynes Jr. opens our series study on the book of Galatians.  The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Galatians. The Galatian Church if it existed today would be located somewhere around Turkey.  One of the early problems Paul wrote about in Galatians was the disparity of the gospel. There was a group called the Judaizers who were confusing the early believers and preaching to them a gospel that was not really the gospel.
