As we begin to come out of quarantine Cody and Vanessa sit down to kibitz about whats happening on their farms these days. Hint, its chickens! The great Cornish Rock vs Freedom Ranger debate is resumed and Cody talks about his meat. 

Is there going to be a meat shortage? What cuts should I buy if my favorites aren’t in the case? Is it better to buy local? In this special episode Cody joins California cattle producers Dave Daly and Julie Morris along with grocer Chelsea Minor on a panel discussion to answer these questions and more about the California beef supply chain. They take an in-depth look at the effects COVID-19 has had on the cattle industry and what that means for all of us as consumers.

Cody and Vanessa call each other up and discuss how social distancing and sheltering in place has changed life on the farm. Vanessa shares her experience as a reluctant homeschool parent and Cody touches upon his new found love for The Tiger King.
