For some this performance against Everton was a double blow - one of the worst of the season but also, a defat that all but ended their Champions League hopes.

Since entering the 1968/69 Fairs Cup, the Magpies have competed in the UEFA Cup, Cup Winners Cup, Champions League, Intertoto Cup and Europa League and they have racked up a whole host of memories during that time.
