[Ep 22] Being Authentic in Your Business: How to Create an Emotional Connection to Your Customer

I have Louise Graham joining me for this episode, who is a creative marketing coach from Glasgow, and currently runs Think Frog Marketing.  She’s also a self professed Personal Development Junkie with a new big idea, which we’ll discuss during this podcast.  Now traveling around SE Asia, and working with international clients, Louise is rediscovering new ways to connect people, share ideas, and build authentic brands for her customers to tell great stories that align with their audience. She is a marketing strategist extraordinaire that has won awards in the UK for her marketing and launch campaigns.  She is also a big advocate for understanding your story to be able to connect to your business audience authentically, but most importantly, stay true to the mission and inspiration your business wants to be a part of.

[Ep 21] Avoid the Trap of Doing Everything as an Entrepreneur

Monty, who I’ll introduce during the podcast interview, specializes in helping entrepreneurs buy more of their time back, so that they can do the aspects of the business they really enjoy doing, and learn to delegate the rest.  This results in more efficient action, and the ability to build your small business to something larger, if you wish. After talking to Monty, it made me evaluate my own processes with hiring out the many pieces I need to implement in creating my next big project for 2016 - the “Turn my idea into an offer” e-course.  I actually got really excited to start separating what was my role in non negotiable tasks, and what the other tasks were that I could outsource. And you know what?  Even if you don’t currently have a business yet, but you’re building it, this is an amazing episode for you to listen to because there may actually be parts of your launch or business building process that may make sense for you to outsource...so YOU can focus on the parts you do best in.

[Ep 20] Contribute to Community Through Social Entrepreneurship

On this week's podcast, I have Andy McLean on the show, a Nomadic Kiwi, former London city corporate turned startup business mentor and seeker of doing social good. Andy is a bankologist at StartupBootcamp in Singapore, a member of Tribewanted, and also leads a special project close to his heart called the Better Bali Project. Andy will be talking more about social entrepreneurship, how one can contribute to the world through their work, and of course how he escaped the financial industry’s cubicle world.

[EP 19] Stop Playing Vanilla: Show the Real You in Your Business

This episode I have Morgan Haines from A Little Creative.  She is a self described former science nerd and a recovering corporate desk jockey, who had worked for years in jobs that felt uninspiring and frustrating. Following the sudden and unexpected death of a friend, Morgan realized what her parents had always been telling her was painfully true: life is short. Now out of corporate prison, she is a brand strategist and designer for heart centered yet sweary ladypreneurs at her business.  She is also a tiny human with a big mouth just like me! We talk about her escape story, but also her advice on how to create authentic branding for heart-centered entrepreneurs.  What are the real focuses you should be paying attention to rather than the aesthetics?  It's time to find out!

[EP 18] Build Your Tribe and Lead With Impact

I’m so excited about the conversation I get to have with my podcast guest this week, Arthur Carmazzi who founded Directive Communication Psychology, because we get to talk about a two huge topics that I love - FEAR and IMPACT. He is ranked as one of the world's top 10 thought leader gurus in leadership. He has supported over 250 individuals to screw the cubicle with new careers as international trainers and consultants... some who are making in excess of $100,000 per month. Arthur’s message with his work also resonates with mine.  He believes that one person’s footprint can make a huge impact. For him it was a teacher in 8th grade, Mr Bacchus, who literally changed his destiny, and you’ll hear a bit about that on our interview.  The footprint we create during our lifetime can affect the course of history, or not even be noticed. Thanks to his teacher, Arthur has had the privilege of inspiring hundreds of thousands people (and had Lots of Fun Doing It ) who have gone on to inspire millions more. I hope you enjoy our conversation about how we can change our perception of fear and risk, and get courageous in showing up in our best work in the world.

[Ep 17] Pathfinding 101: Identify the Voice of Your Heart & Allow It to Lead You

This week, I loved, loved, loved interviewing Pace Smith, who is a Pathfinding coach, a teacher, a speaker, a writer, and many more roles as you’ll hear about during our interview.  I loved how Pace was a multi-passionate person, and allowed herself to use all her passions with her current career now.   Her old career also used to be something completely opposite...and I really enjoyed having a great conversation with Pace about how she dealt with that new shift in direction, how she learned to be more authentic with her life and work, and her amazing wisdom on how to find purpose and follow your heart compassion.

[EP 16] Your Age Excuse for Finding Passion Doesn't Fly

This episode,  I have Keith Clarke from Life Coach X, where he helps members of Generation X get the most out of their relationships and careers.  Generation X are people that are born somewhat between 1961 - 1981, where Keith believes It’s even more important at their time of life that they don’t settle for what doesn't make them happy. The craving for the freedom to find our passion isn’t limited to a specific age group of people.  In our conversation, we speak about what Generation X are most looking for in terms of fulfillment in their careers, their most common fears, and what they can start doing to overcome that feeling of “is it too late for me”.

[EP 13] Creating Your Environment to Thrive as a Solopreneur

Today I am speaking to Tomas Laurinavicius, who is a Lithuanian designer, blogger, entrepreneur & digital nomad.   Also the Founder and editor-in-chief at Despreneur and co-author of Mobile Design Book, this 23 year old is gaining momentum fast!  Alright let me tell you a little bit about this week’s guest...Tomas Laurinavicius.  He is a designer and entrepreneur from Lithuania, and founder of Despreneur, an online magazine, geared to help designers develop an entrepreneurial mindset.  And get this...he’s only 24 years old. I’ll tell you what I was doing at 24 years old.  Graduating from college and struggling through shit pay at the bottom of the corporate ladder!  And this guy opted for the alternative route of educating himself, and playing in it adventurously. What I love about interviewing Tomas for this week’s podcast is his resilience on not allowing his environment to dictate his future.  He wasn’t feeling very inspired in his town in Lithuania, so he found alternative ways to find mentors and discovery communities of people that can help him on his journey.  He is humble to learn, and always shares what he learns, which has now led him to create his ecourse on Udemy. Let’s jump to the interview so you can have a listen to his story and I hope it inspires you to curate the environment that lets you thrive!

[EP12] Having a Plan With a Purpose When Escaping the 9-5

Siedah Mitchum helps businesses and one woman shops tap into the essences of who they are and their mission to create a beautiful on-line home for their business that allows them to grow, change lives, and get their message out to the world.   She got my first client as a web designer at the age of 14 years old working part-time for myself.   Three years ago, while she was working for a small business her boss cut her hours due to shortage of income, which was really a blessing in disguise, as it propelled her to start working for herself.  In this episode, I share Siedah’s story about her leap to entrepreneurship, and her tips for YOU, on what you may need to get started on launching your first website.

[EP 11] Un-Wiring Yourself From Toxicity and Fear

On the 11th episode of my podcast, I invited Christy Primmer who is a coach, author, and speaker for women who want to finally step up, show up, and share their message with the world.  She helps women ditch the self-sabotage, do the work, regain self-awareness and stop caring what everyone else thinks. Because all that matters? Is that you believe in yourself.

[EP 10] Letting Go of Control to Finally See Your Path

On the 10th episode of my podcast, I got to interview Mona Motwani, a human rights attorney turned entrepreneur.  This episode is very special to me. Though we talk about her transition from non-profit lawyer to entrepreneur, it is her story about survival and perseverance of overcoming lyme disease that took centre stage. Mona was diagnosed with lyme disease in 2008, but her health had already taken a spin for the worst as of 2005. By 2007, she could barely function even to walk to the bathroom, and had to quit her job as a human rights attorney.  Eight years of being bedridden and needing the support of others to help her with basic day to day like eating and  going to the bathroom was a huge change for someone like Mona, whose type A personality never gave her permission to ask for help, as she was the person that dedicated her life at the time to helping others in need with her career.

[Ep 09] Why Confidence and Self-Belief Are Worth More Than A Degree

This week’s guest, I interview Hayley Hogan, who has an incredible story of losing everything, and she shares her experience of how her trust in bigger and better things pushed her from a high positioned career in marketing and events for a film company in Sydney, to pursue her passion to become a fiction writer and editor in Bali.  Hayley’s story is quite amazing, because it involves her being in the verge of being laid off like the rest of the staff in her company, and also losing all her savings in the stock market, and I’m not talking a small amount at all.  It was literally everything she and her partner had to start their new life, and she had to face REALLY starting from scratch.

[EP 06] Manifesting Courage Through Your "Failures"

I am giddy like a schoolgirl, because I have Anne Perry, the founder of Business Heroine Magazine for this episode of The Cubicle Crashing Podcast. After years spent burdened by debt and suffocating jobs, Anne was determined to escape the hamster wheel of life and leave a trail for others like her. Finally carving her own path to freedom, she became a work-from-anywhere entrepreneur - running her business from the beaches of Belize, from islands off the coast of Panama, and while traveling around the United States in an RV. Anne has since built Business Heroine as a platform to broadcast the voices of women who, despite obstacles, decide to break free of the mold and create life according to her own design.
