#177 - Getting the Gospel Right

After a 4-week break, Jason is back with an episode on the importance of good theology especially in regards to the Gospel itself.\n\nIn the episode Jason begins by going through a concise gospel presentation found on Instagram that represents a common trend today of turning the gospel upside down by making us victims rather than perpetrators, also making us the main focus rather than Christ. After going over this, Jason plays a famous clip from Rev. Voddie Baucham Jr. relevant to the topic of the episode.\n\nHope it\'s an encouragement! God bless.\n\nAlso as you may have noticed, DailyRef has new music!\n“Amazing Grace” by Citizens & Saints\n℗BEC Recordings (Madison Park)\nAll Rights Reserved. Used By Permission.

#175 - Do We Have Free Will to Choose God?

This week Jason walks through what Scripture says about total depravity and the human will in regards to salvation, and specifically the question of whether or not man naturally has the ability to choose the things of God. #174 - What Does the Bible Teach About Homosexuality?

In today's world, the topic of homosexuality and the LGBTQ movement seem to be front and center in the cultural conversation. As Biblical Christians how should we view this, and how can we lovingly address the subject with balance and clarity? On this week's episode, Jason seeks to explain and explore what Scripture says about this topic and how these texts ought to be properly understood and applied. #173 - Who Did Jesus Die For?

The question of who Christ's death on the cross was intended to save is a very fascinating yet controversial one that has been debated throughout church history. This week on the podcast, Jason seeks to Biblically explain and defend the view that Jesus died to save particularly the elect (those graciously chosen by God for salvation), and not every single human being on earth. Yet Jason also acknowledges that this view is not a dogmatic essential worth dividing over. Nevertheless, hopefully the episode is a helpful explanation! The song mentioned at the end of the episode is called ”Mission Accomplished” by Shai Linne For Scripture references and further clarification on this doctrine, check out the following link to a highlight on the Daily Reformation IG page: https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE4MDU5MDkwNDQwMjczNzAy?igshid=dyfra7nssvsh&story_media_id=2514812874163275122 Intro/outro music: “Arrival of the Lore” by Courtland Urbano

#169 - Theology Q&A with Nick from Christ is the Cure & Paul from Peals of Thunder

This week Jason is joined by two good friends and fellow podcasters Nick Campbell & Paul Tkaczuk to answer your theology questions on everything from evangelism to the enneagram. Enjoy! Christ is the Cure podcast and website: https://christisthecure.org Peals of Thunder podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/peals-of-thunder/id1513103843 Below is a list of all the questions addressed in the episode: -If once saved always saved, what do you think of Ravi Zacharias? Was he saved if he was living in habitual sin? -Could you explain Matthew 7:1-2 “judge not..”? -Thoughts on Enneagram? Is it cultist? Should Christians associate with it? -What is your view on images depicting Christ in movies painting, etc? Is this acceptable or does it violate the 2nd commandment? -Propitiation and expiation - how are they connected, or are they not connected at all? -How do I present the Gospel to unbelievers? -How is God just in predestination? -Can you lose your salvation? Or if you fall away did you ever really have it? -What’s your view on communion? -What does the Bible say about self-love? -What is a theologically sound answer to the claim that God created evil and is therefore evil? If God is infinitely holy should that not eliminate the capability of sin originating? How to simply answer the problem of evil? -Would you say belief in the trinity is an essential Christian doctrine? Why/why not? Is it wrong to have fellowship with someone who denies trinity -Are all sins equal? -After preaching the gospel according to the Bible what is left for the sinner to do? -The relationship between imputed righteousness and Christ’s active obedience? -Is heaven a physical place (a renewed earth when Jesus arrives)?

#167 - The Dangers of Man-Centered Teaching

This week Jason seeks to Biblically address the common trend of therapeutic self-help teaching within professing Christianity. The discussion is based on a recent post on DailyRef's IG account (@daily.reformation). Hopefully it's helpful and thought-provoking! Here are all the names of the teachers mentioned: 9 Motivational Speakers: -Mike Todd -Chad Veach -Judah Smith -Steven Furtick -Carl Lentz -Craig Groeschel -Rich Wilkerson Jr. -Jeremy Foster -Stephen Chandler 9 Biblical Preachers: -Voddie Baucham -Paul Washer -Steven Lawson -Alistair Begg -John MacArthur -David Platt -Costi Hinn -John Piper -H.B. Charles Jr. Keep in mind, the first 9 are not all 100% wrong and the last 9 are not all 100% right, but the general focus and emphasis of both groups is quite consistent: the former, man-centered and therapeutic; the latter, Christ-centered and Biblical.
