Sie hatte das alles ganz falsch eingeschätzt. Anfänglich hatte sie gedacht, dass Farah gar nicht über mehr Können oder Wissen verfüge als sie selbst, und sie hatte sich oft gefragt, wieso sie eine so exponierte Stellung einnahm. Nicht dass Eva diese Position hätte haben wollen, aber ihr war nicht klar, welche Fähigkeiten man wohl vorweisen musste, um überhaupt in Erwägung gezogen zu werden. Nun hatte sie verstanden, dass man viel mehr über die Zusammenhänge im Universum wissen musste als es Eva tat. Dieses Wissen zu erwerben dauerte seine Zeit und eben die hatte Farah ihr voraus. Auch dass die Menschen aus Sicht des Sternenkreises nicht das Wichtigste waren, hatte sie nie so betrachtet. Wie arrogant sie doch gewesen war. Masirius hatte recht. Das nervte unwahrscheinlich. Und zuletzt war ihr nicht klar gewesen, dass Farah für ihrer aller Verhalten verantwortlich gemacht wurde. Eva war beschämt. Das hatte sie nicht gewollt. Den Krieg mit Farah durchaus, aber nicht so. The Dark Side of Eve podcast ep 106 This time Eve opened the door and the men went in. Last time, and Eve remembered well, John closed the door directly in front of the face of this officer. She smiled while she went back to the library where she was having tea with John before it happened. While the guys looked through the house Meyer stood in the middle of the entrance hall and waited. “Would you like to have a tea with us while you are waiting”, John asked friendly. “No, this is an attempt at bribery, I cannot accept.” “Why should we do so? We are no secret society, we are just aliens from Venus.” Meyers looked at John and smiled. “Yes, sure, nice try.” “It is the truth. Come in and have a look at our techniques.” Slowly Meyers followed John into the dining room. John opened the large computer screen that was covered by the furniture. Meyer was already impressed as the cabinets started to move aside but then John showed him pictures from Venus. The arrogant view he had in his face before disappeared. He was wordless. Could that be? Was it possible? John showed him around fifty pictures in a small film, then the wall closed again and the furniture appeared. Meyer sat down. He looked confused. Sie hielten sich für die wichtigste, die bedeutendste Spezies, dabei wären sie nichts ohne den Sternenkreis. Sie wären nichts weiter als die Menschen auf der Erde. Es war ein schrecklicher Gedanke. Waren die anderen Spezies, die die Wesen erschaffen hatten, wirklich so viel weiter in ihren Emotionen? Hatten sie überhaupt Emotionen? Und was meinte Masirius mit Einfallsreichtum? Was it peace? Wasn’t it more the stop of a battle? During the following weeks, she often remembered what had happened. She had a lot of questions but Matakela wasn’t there. He went to Sinea somewhere out in the universe. Once she had told him she would like to have more privacy. Now he wanted the same and she had to accept. Months passed and Eve asked herself why she got no invitation for the next work-meeting. Shouldn’t they take place every 200 days? It was high time. Yes, it was but Farah was busy with other things. Dark situations were crawling up the wall, a shadow was moving over her life: The Mesorianer, again, were on their way into the federation. So wie es aussieht, hat sie niemanden mehr und auch ich kann mich nicht um sie kümmern.“ „Gibt es keine Familie, die sie aufnehmen kann?“ „Das hier ist nicht das Land, aus dem Sie kommen. Menschenrechte und Menschenwürde werden leider nicht sehr großgeschrieben. Schon vorher gab es niemanden. Ich kannte ihre Mutter, hübsche Frau, erst fünfzehn Jahre alt. Sie wollte das Baby nicht. Farahs Härte, diese Unmenschlichkeit gegen jeden, selbst gegen ihre Familie lassen Eva verzweifeln: Eva dachte intensiv darüber nach was sie dagegen tun konnte. Meuterei? Aufruhr? Diese Szenarien würden das Ende der Diplomatie sein, das war ihr klar, aber dennoch, sie musste handeln, jetzt! Worte hatten nun keine Macht mehr, nur Taten zählten aber das konnte sie nicht alleine. Allein in ihrem Büro durchdachte sie alles ganz genau. Irgendwie erwartete das Matakela hereinschauen würde und sie aufhalten wollte, aber er kam nicht. Dann liege ich also richtig, dachte Eva. Ganz offensichtlich wollte er das sie es tat. Was genau musste sie bedenken? Sie war versorgungstechnisch sehr autark. Sie hatte Truppen und sie hatte Verbündete. Sie war keine Anfängerin mehr und die Lage ihres Planeten war so abseits, dass es schon wieder gut war.
