Chachi Tyler and Andrew are back again! THREE WEEKS IN A ROW EVERYONE! Also it was a Patreon rewards podcast so we were joined by Greg who got to join us live for the recording! We talked Andomeda again, the latest updates about squadmates, Khet, and why Garrus while our best friend, really just falls in line.

Chachi and Tyler are BACK! We return to discuss N7 day which in case you missed it was about the only bit of good news this week. The trailer, the collectors editions, our hopes and dreams, the voice cast we cover it all! Even a VR Fish Simulation! No,we really did. We also discussed Polygon’s disgusting attempt to out a cosplayer, and once again how boundaries and concent so frequently get forgotten in the fast moving wheels of the internet. Chachi deals with a sick cat so Rhad and Andrew catch up talking about new trailers, the expectations placed probably unfairly on the success or failure of Wonder Woman, and we go deep on #PerformanceMatters and the SAG-AFTRA strike on video game publishers. Chachi was buried under Homecoming Mums, and Tyler was lost to college debate circles this week but we managed to muddle through.

This week we are rejoined by the always fun Ness to talk about first fictional loves, BioWare, and Extra Life 4 Kids. We always threaten to do it and this week due to technical issues we actually did. We edited Tyler right out of the podcast. However, we still managed to get nearly 50 minutes of Mass Effect: Andromeda, and PAX West!

Chachi returns and we discuss events that happened to Rhad earlier in the week and how boundaries are an important part of communication, comfort, and respecting someone’s personhood. Also discussed, food can be racist, and language is complicated.

While Chachi was feeding the homeless, (really folks she was) Rhad and Andrew discussed toxic gaming culture around Overwatch, what Blizzard did to combat the GG EZ taunt, the No Man’s Sky backlash, the EA suggestion of a Mass Effect remaster, and why in a scream and shout internet culture it may not be a bad idea for developers to hold back promotional materials for their own peace of mind.

We talk about the dumpster fire that Suicide Squad turned into, Jared Leto being way to deep into his role, and then movie on to much more exiting topics like how epic the Rogue One trailer was, our hopes for it to be a continuing trend in better representation, and how we will all be broken at the end of the film since they won’t likely survive the mission.

Chachi had the night off but for this Patreon topic podcast we talk about the DreamWorks/Netflix show “Voltron: Legendary Defender” and the excellent representation in it.

Tyler is on vacation this week, but Chachi, Rhad, and Andrew talk about Pokemon Go, Ghostbusters, and the harassment of Leslie Jones on Twitter. Also discussed @cypheroftyr’s opinion piece on Polygon, and a possible PAX West (formerly Prime) meet up this year!

We talk about Nintendo’s poor taste in jokes from “Paper Mario” poor response to  why Zelda couldn’t be the protagonist in a game named after her, and generally how better representation in games will make companies more flexible with their growing audiences.

After two weeks for really heavy topics we switch over to what got The Dialogue Wheel started in the first place, BioWare games. We talk about the EAPlay reveal of Andromeda, and discuss what we hope to see when the new title finally arrives.

This week we discuss the events at Pulse Night Club in Orlando, gun control, the need for better sex education, the “othering” of people and how easy it is to strip people of their humanity. This episode won’t be for everyone, so make sure it is something you are ready to hear. We won’t mind if you skip this week. CHACHI RETURNS! However with that return comes a sobering message about consent and unwanted contact. We welcome Rhadamus to the discussion and we all share what we know, either through witnessing or experiencing consent issues at conventions, online, and in the meat space. Also after listening to this episode you may want to go back and listen to when Chachi and Andrew spoke with Amelia from Can’t Talk Media about consent in a Geeks Guide To Guardianship Episode One.
