Welcome to the Dick Vet Podcast.

Throughout this series, we talk to students about their university experiences, in the hope of easing any concerns or worries that prospective students may have.

Whilst the first two episodes do have a specific focus on the University of Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, after this the topics and issues discussed are relevant for any potential student, regardless of discipline. This series covers a range of topics centred around the Veterinary Medicine degree offered by the School, such as what the programme and campus have to offer students. However, the main theme running throughout centres on students sharing their experiences before and during university.

Most importantly, the podcast is led by students of the University of Edinburgh. With student voices shining through in every episode, we hope to provide a clearer understanding of what it is like to study with us.

Episode 4) Life in Edinburgh

Episode 4: Life in Edinburgh   In the penultimate episode for this series, the Dick Vet Podcast explores Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh. Two Veterinary Medicine Students, Audrey Ho and Vicky Rivera Marrero, join Steven in discussing what it is like to live in Edinburgh and what to expect upon arrival.   University is a big step in anyone’s life; not only are you learning how to adapt to a new way of learning, but most students will also be re-locating, often for the first time. By listening to the experiences of those who have made the move to Edinburgh before, we hope future students will feel more at ease when making the change themselves.   For more information, or to ask further questions, please get in touch on any of our social media pages:   Facebook – search for ‘The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies'  Twitter – find us @thedickvet  Instagram – look for ‘TheDickVet’  Music: "Funin and Sunin" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)  Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License  http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
