This episode was recorded in 2016 as a voice note on my phone. My daughter had just returned from a camping trip and was sharing with me an experience that she had building a fire. After she shared, I took out my phone and recorded this reflection on how this act of building a fire was the perfect metaphor for the responsibilities that come with the decision to be a godly parent and the role we play in setting expectations for their spiritual growth and development.
