The holiday season can fly by and bring on a lot of stress, anxiety and can feel overwhelming. Have you ever felt that way? The pressure to do it all and be everything for everyone and your business is a lot and can definitely make you feel overwhelmed. If you are feeling this way, you shouldn’t be. It is time to take a step back and reflect on why you are in this situation and how to make some changes. Protect your joy, especially during the holiday season.

I get asked all the time, where do you get all of the stuff for your store? Most of it we create by repurposing, some of it is from local creators and there are a few things that are wholesale. My favorite though is partnering with local creators and offering them a place to sell their products. Listen this week as Emily talks about the amazing benefits of supporting other creators and how it keeps her store filled with unique handcrafted items.

Nope. Your passion will not always sell. Just being real with you. That is why it is so important to find a balance between what you love to create and what your customer loves to buy. It is not always black and white and will change over time. While it is important to cater to your customers, never compromise who you are. It is easy to question your decisions when a customer comes in and says, “Well I wish you had more farmhouse.” Maybe farmhouse isn’t your style, don’t change your entire store or booth because of that one customer.
