On this week’s episode, it’s a little departure from the weekly news as we cover Toys R Us’s Top 10 Hottest Toys for Christmas! Plus we take a loot at some newer Predator figures and the latest wave of World of Nintendo figures!

Folks, it’s another fun episode of toy news discussion, but to be perfectly honest, the highlight comes with Funko’s Stranger Things POPs and He-Man Dorbz. Those are the highlights. Let that be the baseline for your listening experience. There’s some decent Lego news too. And the Breaking Bad set is very reasonably priced!

This week we cover the good, the bad and the spooky. From Funko’s X-Men and Assassin’s Creed Pops, X-Men Dorbz and Mystery Minis, and Batman and Star Wars Wobblers, to Sesame Street inaction figures. We discuss some Sideshow Star Wars items, another Joker from Hot Toys, a groovy glowing XXRays Batman, more 1/6th scale Ghostbusters from a different maker than the really good ones, Pikachu and Stitch toys, Guardians of The Galaxy sequel minimates, minimate inaction figures for various licenses, a Street Fighter series, and some Chucky and Leatherface options, because Halloween. And then there’s this week’s gem from Rebor, the 1/1 Scale Lourinhanosaurus Antunes Embryonic Skeleton. It’s a dino fossil statue, and super cool.

From Lego to Star Wars to Funko, it’s some good toy news this week. Lego released their Lego Ideas results for the last round and we speculate what could win the next round. And we see the latest release, the Beatles Yellow Submarine! Star Wars 6″ Black series new figure pictures are circulaing, and there’s a new R2 Droid Factory figure just in time for Christmas at the parks. Funko rolls out highly demanded figures of the Gilmore Girls (were you the one asking for them? I know it wasn’t me), Cowboy Bebop, Ash Vs Evil Dead, Conan and Red Sonja, and in a huge twist, something modern with The Blacklist. Also, we take a look at the Doctor Strange Collector Corps box. XXRays are available now, including former convention exclusives, GI Joe has some new stuff hitting, Sideshow makes a humdrum appearance, and then we discuss rings. Aw yeah. Comic based rings.

Jim tells some stories about New York Comic Con, we discuss some of the better news coming out of the con, and then it’s a full scale attack on an abundance of Funko news, from El Kabong to Gears of War to Shopkins to Monster High to Batman Animated Pops to some crazy DC Dorbz to Qbert and Bill and Ted! There’s some other cool things from Sideshow in the way of Iron Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, some cool Power Ranger coins, a Lego type Last Supper, an Orange Skeleton, some cool NYCC exclusives, He-Man and more Marvel Legends. It’s jam packed, without the stickiness of jam!

Sideshow, Funko, and a few other items up this week. It’s a hair shorter than usual, but the toys are cool, so who cares! Funko rolls out Moana Pops, Dorbz and Rock Candy figures, Marvel Rock Candies, I Zombie and Breakfast at Tiffany pops, plus more Harry Potter pops and Titanfall 2 oversized pops. Throw in a bunch of Sideshow Star Wars figures, a Batman exhibit with crazy costumes, Samurai Iron Man, a pink alien, a cool new Red Skull, and more.

More New York Comic Con exclusives coming very soon now, this time from Toy Tokyo, as well as a good smattering of Designer Toys. Plus a 1:6 scale Merle Dixon from The Walking Dead and Charlie Cox’s Netflix Daredevil. And a Judge Dredd, if you’re into that sort of thing. Plenty of Funko POP too, with Star Wars Rebels and Animaniacs with Pinky and the Brain. Batman plush and Suicide Squad also coming soon from Funko. And a late straggler for Rogue Friday with a set of Astromech figures exclusive to the parks.

Up a little late this week, but that just means more news to cram in. Let’s see, there’s the ocean of Funko New York Comic Con exclusives, plus Street Fighter, Scooby Doo and Fantastic Beasts POPs. Funko also rolls out their Dark Crystal Reaction figures and they look good? That can’t be right. We’ve got a list of Star Wars exclusives for Rogue One night next Friday. Sideshow shows off their new Doctor Strange and Christopher Lee Dracula figures. DC has a great Supergirl statue, a decent Green Lantern statue, an odd Raven statue and some figure resolicits. Diamond Select has some cool offerings this week, like that King Tut Batman Classic bust or the Space Jockey Minimate set. Namco rolls out new non-working arcade cabinets for your 6″ figures, and Toys R Us creates a Transformer atrocity. Then Mark gives us a recap of the Star Wars Smuggler’s Bounty Box from Funko, and Jim runs down his September Lootcrate.

Star Wars and Joker toys are the main topics this week. Plenty more Star Wars Rogue One news, Gentle Giant busts and a nice big vintage Han Solo in Carbonite. 3 very different Jokers make their way into this episode, and good luck deciding which is your favorite. We’ve got the regular stuff too, Harry Potter and Hermione in 1/6th scale and they are less than magical, there’s your POP madness with Hockey stars, Dancing Disney Princesses, Dishonored 2, Casey Jones from TMNT and a Robot Freddie Funko who will destroy your hopes and dreams. And then we’ve got Preacher figures, NFL figures, and DC shadowbox…things. Whatever they are, the Batman one is cool. Obviously.

Funko, Mezco, Neca, Sideshow and Hasbro, the regular crowd shuffles in. We’ve got more Rogue One POPs, Walking Dead and Batman POPs, the latest Legion of Collectors box breakdown, Hot Topic’s Funko exclusives for September, Neca and Mezco’s New York Comic Con Exclusives, featuring the likes of the Ninja Turtles, Judge Dredd, Daredevil and a Living Dead Doll. Plus Dr Strange figures, more awesome XXRay figures, a Star Wars Death Trooper, Pizza Venkmen, and 2 awesome astromech variants, R2-B00 and R2-711. Great stuff this week.
