When his only choice was to further his education overseas, he made the leap into a STEM program in the US, earned his degree and began working and researching for a US biotech startup company. After years of struggles and finally successes, he witnessed and participated in the sale and merger of the once tiny startup business in a multi-million-dollar deal. After studying hard, earning his degree and starting to work in the US as a faculty member in the higher education field, Vid started living his American Dream by starting a family. His American Dream was in danger though as he had to change his immigration status after he finished his studies. He took it into his own hands to find a solution, applied for his Green Card and finally received it for himself and his family. These trying times enhanced his wish and ambition to help fellow immigrants in the education field. Meet Gitta from Hungary who grew up in the former USSR controlled part of Eastern Europe. After the cold war she had the chance to travel to the US as an Exchange Student, fell in love, married and that’s where her journey as an immigrant only began. She bravely faced the challenge of being a single mother, conquering the IT world first as an employee and today as a business owner supporting other Small Business’ IT needs, and found later in life a love for surfing on the Californian beaches. There are no challenges an immigrant with the will to do so cannot handle - Gitta is living proof of it.
