Dr. Leonardo Marquez graduated as a Dentist from University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 2015. After years of sacrifice and effort, he was accepted at the University of Michigan ITDP (Internationally Trained Dentist Program), where he is currently a D4 Student, with an expected DMD graduation date in May 2023. Dr. Marquez was recently accepted in a Prosthodontics Residency Program in Chicago, with a start date of July 2023. Dr. Martha L. Forero is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) in the Department of Public Health and Community Service and Department of Pediatric Dentistry. She is the Director of the Josiah Quincy school-based dental clinic and a Co-Director of the Pediatric Community Service-Learning rotation.  She was born in Bogota, Colombia, obtained her DDS at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, her M.S. in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Michigan, her RDH degree at Middlesex Community College, and is currently enrolled in a Master of Public Health program with an emphasis on dental public health at A.T. Still University. Dr. Forero is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists She participated at ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership Class of 2019-2020. Hi folks! My name is Dr. Leonardo “Leo” Koerich I grew up in the southern part of Brazil, in a city called Florianópolis with a large, very close family all living pretty close by. I would never have thought that I would be the one in my family to leave the country and end up in North Carolina, but life takes us on some unexpected journeys sometimes, especially when you meet a special person! I completed my first dental degree at Federal University of Santa Catarina, which is in Florianopolis, Brazil. After graduating, I was invited to complete a one-year Post-Doc Fellowship at the Department of Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where I also met my wife, Lindsey. Upon completion, I received a full scholarship for residency in Orthodontics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the first and most respected orthodontic residency in the country. After graduating, from the orthodontic program, I moved to Charlotte, got married to Lindsey, and then shortly after, completed the second round of dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University. I currently work as a general dentist with my practice limited to orthodontics. I am a strong believer that patient care starts by listening and understanding people’s concerns and desires, and my goals are to connect with people and to deliver a beautiful smile. When I am not in the office, you can find me teaching my kids how to play soccer, eating at the Brazilian bakery, and hanging out with my family. Andreina Bracho, D.D.S.  Pediatric Dentist Dr. Andreina Bracho received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2009. She worked as a general dentist for a few years before pursuing her specialty. During that time, she discovered her love for pediatric dentistry. She completed her pediatric residency at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, receiving two awards at her graduation – clinical achievement and performance in orthodontics. She is always eager to learn more in order to provide exceptional care and a pleasant experience for her patients. Dr. Bracho is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the Pan-American Dental Society. Mario F. Romero is the Director of Romero Dental Seminars. He received his DDS degree from the University of Guayaquil (Ecuador) School of Dentistry in 1995. He then completed a two year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at the University of Rochester, Eastman Institute for Oral Health where he was granted the Handleman Award for Excellence.  In 2001 he was named one of the “Most Prominent Dentist” by the Ecuadorian Dental Federation.  In 2016 he received the American College of Dentist Outstanding Faculty Award. In 2019 he received the Excellence in Dental Education Award from Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has published several research papers as well as many clinical articles in operative dentistry, occlusion, implant and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Daniel Oreadi DMD, OMFS Dr. Oreadi earned his dental degree at the Universidad Central of Venezuela and completed the Advanced Graduate Education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Oreadi then completed a fellowship training in head and neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Dr. Rodrigo Sanches Cunha Dr. Cunha completed his Undergraduate Dental Degree in 1994, which he obtained from the Catholic University of Campinas in Sao Paulo - Brazil.  His postgraduate studies include a Specialty degree in Endodontics obtained in 1997 from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP); in 2002, a M.Sc. degree in Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics), and in 2006, a Ph.D. degree in Dental Sciences both of which he received from Sao Leopoldo Mandic Centre for Dental Research. Sergio E. Sanchez, DDS\r\nAssistant Professor, AEGD Program Director, Craniofacial Sciences, University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine\r\nDr. Sergio Sanchez was born and raised in Peru. He received his Dental Degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia School of Dentistry in 2004. After dental school, Dr. Sanchez completed a Diplomaed certification in Dental Esthetics from the School of Peruvian Dentistry. In 2008, he joined the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Dental Medicine, where he completed two years of residency with an additional AEGD Fellowship. Immediately following his residency, Dr. Sergio Sanchez became a clinical instructor for the AEGD program at UConn School of Dental Medicine. Part of his responsibilities was serving as a dental provider at Health Care Community Centers. Dr. Jose Rivero is a Board Certified Dentist Anesthesiologist, he was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery and practiced for several years while preparing to apply to postgraduate training programs in the U.S. In 2012, Dr. Rivero was accepted into the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Connecticut, where he completed two years of postdoctoral training. Immediately after, he continued to expand his skills and came to New York,  and accepted a position in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, where he spent a full year training in the specialty, during this time Dr. Rivero developed a great interest in the field of Anesthesiology and management of patients who had difficulty tolerating dental treatment while awake. \r\n \r\nHe was then accepted into the 3-year Dental Anesthesiology residency program at Jacobi Medical Center in collaboration with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the area, during the 3 years of extensive training exclusively dedicated to Anesthesiology he became proficient in providing all levels of sedation and anesthesia to adult and pediatric patients in settings ranging from the operating rooms to the dental clinics. The Anesthesiology training program included rotations in cardiology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pulmonology, intensive care for adult and pediatric patients as well as orofacial pain. A special portion of the clinical aspect was dedicated to providing anesthesia for patients with special needs at the Rose F. Kennedy Center. Dr. Rivero served as Chief Resident during his second and part of his third year of residency.\r\n \r\nUpon completion of his residency training Dr. Rivero became Board Certified by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, the only officially recognized institution providing board certification in Anesthesiology at the highest level of training for Dentistry.
