Rogers alleges that she joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2006 and was subjected to persistent and systemic gender and sexual-orientation-based discrimination, bullying and harassment by male members. She alleges she was even sexually assaulted by a male member at Ontario's C-F-B Borden in 2012, but was reluctant to report the incident because she feared her superiors wouldn't take it seriously.
