SOP 7: What Are Your Intentions Exactly?

This episode of the Starting Over Podcast explores the topic of intention and how you can use its power to make life-startling changes in your health and your plans to stay on top of it all. My guest host for this episode is my very intentional wife, Cindy. To Subscribe To The Podcast, Please Use The Links Below: Click on the picture for more of our Instagram feed. Cars need tune-ups and maintenance, as do homes, relationships and your career. So why set up your health in such a way that it takes a backseat? SOP 6: Interview with Rob Dial of MWFMotivation Podcast

This episode of the Starting Over Podcast features Rob Dial, host of the MWFMotivation Podcast. We talk float tanks, music, how to stay positive and most important of all, Superman vs. Batman. To Subscribe To The Podcast, Please Use The Links Below: Rob’s latest venture is a fitness-based business called Busy Buddha. His first product, the Busy Buddha Foam Roller, sold on Amazon, is a high-end, eco-friendly product that offers all the benefits of other rollers. Their attention to detail and quality makes this a better built foam roller without an increase in price. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the sales go to charity. When Rob isn’t working, he’s jamming to music and refilling his mind with motivational speakers that fuel his passion to share his message with the world. Of special interest during this podcast is Rob’s discussion of a new meditative tool, the float tank. The tank suspends the user in only ten inches of water but uses 1000 lbs. of epsom salt that enables the user to float. The water is kept at body temperature and the tank is sound-proof so that your senses are “deprived” to the fullest extent. This is an interesting conversation point! Two Ways to Be More Focused and Productive Rob talks about the Pomodoro technique, that goes off 25 minutes after you start the timer for a focused work burst. It then goes off 5 minutes later for a needed break – and you continue as needed. Great productivity tool! If you’re looking for more ways to be productive, we’ve developed a slight modification to an existing tool that gamifies your to do list. CLICK HERE if you’d like to download the tool for your use. It’s designed for a simple black and white interface so you can easily print it off and use it each day, placing it close to your work area. Yes, I want the Free To Do Tool

SOP 5: Making the Perfect Cup of Coffee (Guaranteed!)

Making the perfect cup of coffee takes the right equipment, proper ingredients and practice. Today’s podcast and the information below show you how to make it so it can be one of many tools to be used when starting over. To Subscribe To The Podcast, Please Use The Links Below: If You’re Going to Be Making the Perfect Cup of Coffee, You’ll Need To Do This Use the right kind of water – be sure it’s filtered and only use water at 175-185 degrees, so you don’t over-release the acids in the coffee beans. Use single origin estate coffee for the most consistent flavor. Avoid “blends” if possible. Use a coarse grind when using whole bean coffee which releases just the right amount of flavor. Try to find an Aeropress or French Press to make your coffee. It’s a great intentional practice that can be incorporated into your morning routine. After following the instructions, this makes a great cup of joe. But wait there’s more! Combine your coffee with 1-2 tbsp. of grass-fed butter and 1-2 tbsp. of MCT oil and blend it all together. The fats help transport the caffeine into the brain for optimal results. SOP 4: Overcoming Fear, Doubt and Rattlesnakes While Hiking

To Subscribe To The Podcast, Please Use The Links Below: By the end of Day 1, we were projected to cover 12 miles of trail. Yeah, that one still mystifies me. Our FitBit totals here show our walking calories that we burned – over a pounds worth (3,600 calories). But that doesn’t even take into account the 30 lb. packs we wore nor the hilly terrain we hiked up and down.

Undeterred, Sean and his team came back stronger than ever and with a goal of needing to raise $20,000 to make his SOS 20K Solar Powerbank, they exceeded that and then some going on to raise almost $200,000 to fund the campaign and bring it to market. Listen in to this interview and learn more about Sean, his background, and his challenges when he was forced to start over. We did encounter a few video issues towards the end of our time together, but don’t forget the speed round, which is worth a listen to toward the end.
