We're making history out here today. The first empath-narc couple in history to WILLINGLY go to therapy to improve their relationship. New sessions every week. A diagnosed narcissist and an empath that have been together 4 years now, after 2 1/2 years of a textbook narc-codependent relationship dynamic, they are both reaching towards their higher selves. And he is healing her.

I'm trying to change, and I hope that in the best circumstances people would view me with understanding. To know it would be excruciatingly painful (suicidally so) if I ripped all my defenses away too quickly. I understand it's easy to hate me. But I didn't ask to become this messed up, and me and my empath both want to get to a point where we are married happily and I do not need anyone but myself and him as a source of happiness, fulfillment or stability.
