Wait! Before you dismiss this as yet another internet thing about everyone's favourite buzzword, give here us out. On this episode we talk about the (not so) recently passed African Union Summit, the free trade-zone agreed to by the 40+ countries and the proposed unified currency across all countries. Naturally, because it's 2018, blockchain came up. We spend most of the episode doing some arm-chair analysis and of counter argument being floated; that instead of having one single currency the countries should be allowed to operate independently financially and instead have one single blockchain underlying everything.

The inaugural voyage of the Kinda Sapiens. We (try) to introduce you to the podcast, what it's about, and who we are. Then we poke fun at Google Duplex and the general impact of bleeding edge AI on Africa. A brief note: We recorded this a while ago so there's a lot that's rough around the edges. We were still getting to grips with with everything; from recording equipment to upload and publishing. Additionally we didn't have a proper place to record so we had to create our our own background noise reduction filters so there's a little hiss in the background and some unbalanced audio.
