Are you worried because if the pandemic? Are you losing your mind over your lack? Whatever is going on, God is still more than enough to rescue and secure you. Only trust him.

John the Apostle wrote in the epistle that God is love. God didn’t change all of a sudden from the Old Testament to the New Testament. He has always been a God of grace and mercy and love. Jeremiah 31:3 can reiterate in your mind the very essence and nature of his love for you.

Plans, strategies, and systems are all synonyms for ways to achieve particular goals. They describe for us a line of action that helps us move from point A to point B. Planning can seem stifling and restrictive, but many are falling off for a lack of it. Because the world itself revolves around rules and principles, it only makes sense that you find a system that works for you. It is safer to plan than to leave things to chance. Even the worst of plans is better than the best of chance. Even chance prefers a prepared beneficiary.

Psalm 23 offers great comfort to the Believer. It speaks of the assurance we have in the presence of the Father, and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Our life on earth is purposeful, and our end is certain. We can rest in that assurance.

I find great comfort in James 1:5-8. There, the author shares his conviction that God gives wisdom to anyone who asks without finding fault. God is happy to show us what to do, and won’t chastise us first, as some humans are wont to do. Today, if you don’t know what to do in any situation, ask God. He will show you the way.

Is the end just around the corner? We don't know for sure. What we do know is that the Bible says there will be an end to the world as we know it. That alone serves to condition the heart of the Believer. Our response should be dictated by the Word of God and not the voicenotes of conspiracies and accusations that spread unnecessary panic all around. The Believer ought to be above death in the sense that there is no fear of it. And in these times, one must consider it a great time as much as any to be focused on the Word of God, and to stand steadfast in the truth we have received. Hold on to the knowledge of truth. Don't join the band of accusers. The end is inevitable, if you believe the Bible. So be filled with joy that you may soon be with the Lord, but while you are yet alive, fellowship with Him in study and prayer. Pray for the saints. Pray for the unsaved. Experience peace from the inside, and determine not to be conditioned by the information coming from the outside world.

Today is the birthday of one of the world's best persons, Abímbọ́lá Ọ̀jẹ́níkẹ́. He's the founder of The Destiny Trust and has been an inspiration to me over the last seven years. I'm blessed to know him. And since I cannot give him breakfast in bed because my name is not Aunty Kẹ́mi, I decided to share my first episode of 'In-Bed' talking about him a little.
