Asahi beer, Radiohead, Logan, Michters
Episode in
The MerryCast
Dan Matthews makes his return to The MerryCast, joining Dan and Matt to talk about some Japanese beer and American flavour whiskey.
We also argue a bit about the best Radiohead album, struggle to stay on topic about the superhero film Logan and Dan reveals how he has fallen victim to a 12 year old internet fraudster.

The New MerryCast
Episode in
The MerryCast
Dan and Matt are back. Sort of.
We didn't think about this episode properly and the audio quality is even worse than normal. We will probably make another episode soon, that will sound better and be more interesting.
Anyway, if you want to hear Dan and Matt talk about which lagers make them a bit windy and Dans new best friends, The Bourbon Gents, here is a pretty much unedited recording of us doing that.
Bye.

Supermarket Bourbons
Episode in
The MerryCast
Dan & Matthew pick up three bottles of cheap-ass whisky to see if any of them are drinkable, and are pleasantly surprised.
We also debate whether abusing a self checkout counts as shoplifting, which are the most aspirational supermarkets and if it's ever possible to eat an avocado without it being too hard or all gooey and black. Listening back to this episode made us hate ourselves.

El Dorado Rum, Four Roses Small Batch, Bookers & Coca Cola
Episode in
The MerryCast
It's been aaaages but Dan and Matthew have finally got together for an episode that investigates their vastly different TV habits and answers some listener questions.
And yeah, we mix Bookers Bourbon with Coke. For lolz.

David Beckham's Haig Club Clubman Whisky, Balvenie Caribbean Cask
Episode in
The MerryCast
Can David Beckham make a whisky that Dan and Matthew enjoy? The bottle looks nice but it goes downhill from there.
We also watch the confusing film The Neon Demon, discuss elaborate tasting notes and finish with a much nicer drink, The Balvenie Carribean Cask scotch.

The Mount Gay Rum Tasting Special
Episode in
The MerryCast
Dan and Matthew have three bottles of rum and three sets of tasting notes. In this episode we appreciate the difference that charred barrels make to a rum, experience how ageing influences intensity in drinks, and enjoy using the word 'gay' in sentences.
We also discuss our favourite gay people, who our man crush is and how attracted we are to each other. Which is nice.

Rumbullion, Craft Beer
Episode in
The MerryCast
Passions run high as Dan, Matthew and Dan Matthews chat about the fallout from Brexit and Pokemon Go while drinking a Christmassy flavoured rum and a couple of lovely beers they picked up from the fantastic Hop Hideout in Sheffield, Rye Wit and Redrum.
Dan Matthews was sitting too far away from the microphone and Dan and Matt were too close to it. We will get the hang of this eventually.
Lots and lots of 'F' words in this one but no 'C' words. I think.

The Jim Beam Bourbon Tasting Special: Jim Beam White Label, Knob Creek, Bookers
Episode in
The MerryCast
In a special bonus episode, Dan and Matthew set themselves a challenge to taste and identify three different bourbons from their individual tasting notes.
We still laugh every time one of us says "knob".

Knob Creek, Duppy Share
Episode in
The MerryCast
A rambling but marginally more coherent episode
Dan and Matthew talk memories of Tramlines festival in Sheffield, meeting Dizzee Rascal, Jarvis Cocker and Brian from Big Brother 2, and the pros and cons of living as a human puppy. And donuts again, obviously.
We are drinking Duppys Share rum and Knob Creek bourbon. We giggle at the word "knob" every single time.

Johnnie Walker Double Black, Bulleit Rye
Episode in
The MerryCast
Dan, Matthew and Dan Matthews are all together for the merriest cast so far.
This week, we are drinking Johnnie Walker Double Black, Bulleit Rye and some blue shit that Dan Matthews bought in a petrol station.
Other chat includes undelivered parcels, vinyl shopping in Scarborough and who we want to be our best friend from Game Of Thrones.
Special thanks to Mike from Philadelphia
Apparently the audio here is really quiet. We must have sat too far away from the computer. We don't know how to make it louder so sorry about that. We will try harder next time. Promise.

Bulleit Bourbon, Mount Gay
Episode in
The MerryCast
Dan and Matthew (but no Dan Matthews. He was getting ready for a car boot sale) are drinking Bulleit Bourbon and Mount Gay Rum and chatting about the Sheffield donut scene and the notorious movie sound effect, the Wilheim Scream.
32:27
Woodford Reserve, Angostura 1919, Chivas Regal
Episode in
The MerryCast
Dan, Matthew and Dan Matthews want to drink some drinks and chat some chat. Three northern men taste and review a range of spirits and liquors, becoming progressively less coherent as they do so. We will try and stay on the point, but we probably won't.
Episode one features Angostura 1919 rum, Woodford Reserve, Chivas Regal 12 year and chat about digital media and the hot new craze that's sweeping the nation, Horse Boarding.
